Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible. The Senior Software Engineer is a key player in our technical expertise and delivery. This role involves owning, designing, and delivering software functionality, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving customer problems, and promoting good engineering practices. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Customer Sustaining Team of Engineering Department located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Develop high-quality software solutions for customer escalations and support incidents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve defects, enhancing user experiences. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, create, validate, and deliver patches or solutions to customers. Use TDD/BDD techniques, CI/CD processes, and support recruitment and onboarding of new team members while continuously developing skills and learning new technologies. Adopt Agile practices like Kanban or Scrumban to efficiently manage team priorities, workload, and deliver high-quality, performant solutions in a timely manner. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of software engineering experience. Strong expertise in Java, JavaScript (React/Angular), microservices, RESTful web services, and modern application architecture. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) is required. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI service integration is highly desirable. Proficiency in database design, optimization, and troubleshooting, including writing complex queries for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. Experience in developing high-quality software with strong test automation practices, including unit and integration testing using tools such as JUnit, Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright, and Jasmine. Solid understanding of DevOps and cloud-native technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, SonarQube, and related tools, with strong problem-solving skills focused on security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience in the Life Sciences industry and regulated environments, participating in Customer and Internal Audits, ensuring compliance with QMS procedures. Troubleshooting and diagnosing complex technical issues using tools like Nslookup, Ping, Traceroute, Wireshark, Netstat, Telnet/SSH, GDB, VisualVM, JStack, and JProfiler.
