Job Location SINGAPORE TC-BIOPOLIS Job Description Overview of role You will have the opportunity to lead the development of next-generation biological models, tissue systems, and screening platforms to investigate mechanisms and intervention opportunities across cells, tissues, and organ systems. This role combines deep experimental biology, assay innovation, and systems-level thinking to generate human-relevant, decision-ready evidence and establish external scientific credibility that differentiates P&G innovation and supports business growth. You will own experimental model and assay strategy, mechanistic investigation across cells, tissues, and organ systems, and the integration of biological evidence into actionable scientific and program recommendations. Your team Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center at Biopolis, you will report to a R&D Director based locally and will be part of growing team of functional and technical experts in leading projects in the region. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Biological Model and Assay Strategy Define the roadmap for 2D and 3D cellular, tissue, and organ-system models against priority biological questions. Design, optimize, validate, and deploy assays spanning molecular, cellular, tissue, and organ-level biology. Ensure experimental models are fit for purpose, biologically relevant, reproducible, and connected to clear discovery decisions. Identify and evaluate emerging biological models, non-animal methods, organotypic systems, organ-on-chip technologies, and next-generation screening approaches. 2. Advance Mechanistic and Translational Discovery Investigate biological pathways, cellular interactions, system perturbations, recovery processes, and intervention responses. Connect molecular and cellular mechanisms with higher-order tissue, organ, and physiological outcomes. Translate experimental evidence into clear mechanistic conclusions, intervention opportunities, and program recommendations. Apply systems-level thinking to identify the most informative experiments and strengthen biological understanding across programs. 3. Provide Scientific Leadership and Build Capability Serve as an experimental biology technical leader, guiding scientists and researchers in experimental design, method development, troubleshooting, and interpretation. Translate complex biological findings into actionable recommendations for technical and business stakeholders. Build external partnerships that provide access to differentiated models, technologies, expertise, and experimental capabilities. Strengthen long-term experimental biology and screening-platform capability through mentoring, external scientific engagement, and adoption of emerging methods. Job Qualifications PhD in Skin Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline with 3-5 years relevant experience in similar role Deep expertise in human skin biology and cosmetic skin benefit mechanisms Proven experience developing and deploying 2D and/or 3D skin models Experience with high-throughput screening, high-content imaging, molecular assays, and quantitative biological endpoints Strong scientific problem-solving, experimental design, and data interpretation capabilities Demonstrated success working within multidisciplinary and highly collaborative teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with organotypic cultures, skin explants, skin-on-chip systems, or 3D bioprinting Experience integrating biological, imaging, molecular, or omics datasets to derive scientific insights Familiarity with laboratory data management systems and structured scientific data practices Experience in cosmetics, consumer health, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments Track record of innovation, patent generation, external col About us We produce globally recognized brands and we grow the best business leaders in the industry.
