We are looking for a lab technician to join our Stamullen team ( Monday to Friday) Ensure safe work practices are being followed at all times, report any near misses immediately to the EHS Department. General housekeeping within the Laboratories. Daily/weekly/monthly balance calibration. Daily pH meter calibration. Ordering and receipt of general laboratory consumable supplies. Ordering, receipt and logging of reagents, standards, and other supplies. Keeping JDE live for consumables and reagents. General laboratory administrative duties. General basic maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment. Responsible for working under cGMP and relevant Health and Safety procedures within the laboratory. Perform some of the less complex analytical activities e.g. weighing, removing oil form capsules as required and trained. Takes responsibility for laboratory waste. Takes responsibility for laboratory housekeeping. Takes responsibility for ordering and receipt of lab supplies. Periodic reviews of logbook completeness. Management of the sample receipt area and booking into JDE. Assist in MP2 work order completion. Complies with company policies including both internal and external Health and Safety and Environmental standards as required. To identify self-development needs for future performance. To manage specific projects as and when required to meet department and business needs and within the scope of the job-holder’s capabilities and responsibilities. To manage specific internal or ad hoc projects as and when required to meet department and business needs and within the scope of the job-holder’s capabilities and responsibilities. To participate in any CI improvement activities identified by the CI department and/or Laboratory Support Manager. Carry out various other additional tasks that may be required from time to time in accordance with the overall goal of the company.
