Responsible for managing employees, either directly or indirectly, who are involved in the scheduling, implementation, and/or execution of the maintenance activities of manufacturing equipment and processes. Also, responsible for managing employees who have direct or indirect involvement in the management and/or improvement of facility and utility systems. Oversees site expansion projects in coordination with Project Engineering to ensure projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Ensures that plant utilities are compliant to cGMP and regulatory requirements and meet all aspects of their designed functions. Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications to existing or new space, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Oversees and manages the department facilities and equipment repairs and maintenance budget(s), all RFP processes for needed architectural firms, contractors, etc. Guides and directs building space allocation, layout and facilities expansions. Plans and guides site equipment and facilities maintenance program including but not limited to preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and work order system Develops overall equipment, facilities and utilities maintenance strategy including lifecycle management Creates criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building safety codes. Develops site energy strategy including but not limited to reduction / re-use of electricity, natural gas and water Makes certain facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards. Responsible for ensuring facilities are maintained as desired through their staff and vendors. Plans business continuity plans in the event of a major failure to ensure the business can recover quickly and appropriate communication channels are established. Provides oversight to the day-to-day running of facilities by staff and vendors. Responsible for oversight of all internal moves including site plan maintenance, physical relocation and coordination with all related contractors, vendors and equipment. Responsible for oversight of supply ordering, and related inventory and vendor management and may participate in lease negotiations and manages sublease arrangements. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or related field. Ten (10) years of experience in maintenance with five (5) years’ experience in facilities management and/or project management. Seven (7) years of project management experience leading projects. Five (5) years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry preferred. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
