A Day in the Life Associate Mapping Specialist Opportunities for Students The Associate Mapping Specialist role is designed as a training pathway into Medtronic's Electrophysiology (EP) Mapping Specialist career. In this field-based clinical role, you'll work alongside healthcare professionals and Medtronic teams to support advanced cardiac procedures while helping bring innovative mapping and navigation technologies to patients and providers. Associate Mapping Specialist Highlights Complete a structured training program designed to build clinical, technical, and procedural expertise in cardiac electrophysiology. Support physicians, clinical staff, and hospital teams during advanced cardiac mapping and ablation procedures. Learn to provide technical, educational, and clinical support for Medtronic's Cardiac Ablation Solutions portfolio, including the Affera™ Mapping and Navigation System. Partner with Clinical Specialists, Mapping Specialists, and Sales teams to support customer training, technology adoption, and patient care initiatives. Develop strong clinical, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills while working directly with healthcare providers. Gain exposure to cutting-edge cardiac technologies that help treat patients with heart rhythm disorders. Location and Work Model This position is a remote role supporting a designated geographic territory within the United States. While not based at a physical Medtronic office location, the individual hired for this role must reside within their assigned territory and be able to travel regularly to multiple customer accounts throughout the region. Candidate location & location preferences will be considered during the interview and placement process. Relocation benefits may be available for qualifying candidates in accordance with company policy. Required Qualifications: To be considered, your resume must clearly demonstrate how you meet each of these basic requirements. Working toward a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2026 or Spring 2027. Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory and work in hospital and clinical environments, including observation of live medical procedures. Experience in healthcare, clinical, research, customer service, patient-facing, or other relationship-based environments. Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, employment, volunteer activities, research, or academic projects. Experience presenting technical, scientific, academic, or project-related findings to groups or stakeholders. Experience working on team-based projects with defined deliverables and deadlines. Exposure to healthcare, medical devices, human physiology, biomedical engineering, life sciences, or patient care settings through coursework, research, volunteering, shadowing, internships, or employment. Additional Job Requirements: Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation Are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise Will on occasion be required to travel outside of their assigned territory and possibility overnight Must be able to drive approximately 25-50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel. Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
