This Position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager Your role and responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects. This role is contributing to the Electrification business Distribution Solutions division in Hyderabad, India You will be mainly accountable for: Design, develop, and implement Substation Automation Systems, including SCADA, PLC, and RTU-based control, monitoring, and communication systems, ensuring reliable, efficient, and secure operation of electrical power networks. Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs (ABB AC500 and Emerson PAC System) for electrification and substation automation applications. Design and configure HMI using ABB CP600 and Emerson Quick Panel. Design and configure SCADA systems using ZENON and ZEE600 platforms for monitoring, control, alarm management, and system visualization. Prepare and maintain project engineering documentation, including System Architecture Diagrams, I/O Lists, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), IP Address Lists, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documents, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) documents, and other project deliverables. Select and specify appropriate hardware components, including PLCs, RTUs, communication equipment, networking devices, HMIs, and associated control system components, based on project requirements. Provide remote technical support for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration activities, ensuring successful project execution and customer satisfaction. Qualifications for the role: B.E or Diploma in Electrical with 8+ years experience, Proficient in electrical distribution and automation, power systems, and substation automation. PLC programming in accordance with the IEC 61131-3 standard, preferably on Emerson PAC system PLC (PAC Machine Edition) and ABB AC500 PLC (Automation Builder) platform. HMI designing using Emerson Quick Panel and ABB Panel Builder. SCADA development on GE Cimplicity, Copadata ZENON and ABB ZEE600 Platform. LV and / or MV switchgear knowledge and knowledge of Communication and Network Architecture designing.
