Job Description: Who we are Microchip Technology Inc. is a leading worldwide provider of embedded control applications. Our product portfolio comprises general purpose and specialized 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers, 32-bit microprocessors, field-programmable gate array (FPGA) products, a broad spectrum of high-performance linear, mixed-signal, power management, thermal management, radio frequency (RF), timing, safety, security, wired connectivity and wireless connectivity devices, as well as serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM), Serial Flash memories, Parallel Flash memories, and serial Static Random Access Memory (SRAM). We also license Flash-IP solutions that are incorporated in a broad range of products. What will you do in this position Reporting to the MIT Engineering Manager, you will be an integral part of the Operations team responsible for developing and manufacturing modules for medical, high power automotive and high-speed optical communication markets, where small size and high reliability are critical. As a Manufacturing systems engineer, you will contribute to the growth and continued success of the company, by supporting the development of its next generation products and in driving the business towards its quality and productivity goals. Working as part of a multidisciplinary technical group, you will have the opportunity to influence every stage of the product development cycle, from early-stage R&D to fulfilment of high-volume production orders. The role presents a great opportunity for someone who wishes to build a solid foundation for future success by working closely with a variety of business functions. Main Duties and Responsibilities: · Develop, configure, test, and maintain manufacturing applications and software solutions. · Integrate manufacturing applications with ERP, SQL databases, and other enterprise systems. · Develop workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions to support production/engineering processes. · Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation, error proofing and digital transformation. · Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, system specifications, and user guides to support manufacturing applications. Requirements/Qualifications: · Degree-level educated in computer science / software / manufacturing engineering or related discipline. · Experience developing or supporting applications in a manufacturing environment. · Programming skills in one or more languages such as C#, Java, Python, or .NET · Experience using SQL and relational databases. · Experience using Power BI, Tableau or SSRS. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Good communication and interpersonal skills.
