The OpportunityAs the Collections Representative, you will support the INR and VAD Revenue Cycle by handling and resolving insurance follow-up and denial issues to ensure accurate reimbursement from insurance companies. You will serve as a liaison between insurance companies, patients, and internal departments to support accounts receivable, aging account, and cash collection goals while providing exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do• Research and resolve payment discrepancies. • Review and manage A/R aging reports and provide explanations of past-due balances to management. • Work aged accounts on assigned payers and prioritize accounts approaching timely filing denials. • Identify account issues and trends and recommend resolutions. • Escalate exhausted appeal efforts and initiate payer appeals following established guidelines. • Prepare write-off requests for uncollectable balances and analyze A/R issues to improve efficiency. • Document accurate account notes and maintain clear, concise, and professional correspondence. • Maintain positive communication with payer representatives and navigate payer websites to support collection efforts. • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members as directed by management. • Utilize strong communication, customer service, judgment, and problem-solving skills while handling confidential information. Requirements• High school diploma or GED required. • Associate degree preferred. • Preferred experience: Level I (1 to 3 years) or Level II (3 to 5 years). • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. • Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. • Demonstrated customer service orientation, professionalism, collaboration, flexibility, reliability, and effective communication skills.
