For the right candidate, remote work options will also be considered. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone Orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Purpose We are seeking a high-performing analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our US Joints Reconstruction supply chain operations. Reporting to the Manager, GDCL US Joints Reconstruction, Supply Chain, you will lead the execution of our US GDCL supply chain network. The Senior Analyst, GDCL US Joints Reconstruction, Supply Chain plays a critical role in ensuring product availability and customer continuity across the Orthopaedics business. This individual is responsible for leading the identification, assessment, communication, and resolution of short-term supply constraints through the Short-Term Exception Management (STEM) process. Position Summary Serving as a key liaison between Global Supply Chain and U.S. Commercial organizations, this role provides supply disruption analysis, develops mitigation strategies, manages demand allocation activities, and drives cross-functional decision making to minimize customer impact. The Senior Analyst partners closely with Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Marketing, and Sales Leadership to maximize service levels and optimize business outcomes. This role directly influences customer service performance, surgical case fulfillment, and revenue protection by ensuring supply risks are identified early, communicated effectively, and resolved through disciplined execution of the U.S. STEM process. The Senior Analyst plays a critical role in balancing customer needs, commercial priorities, and supply constraints to deliver exceptional outcomes for patients, surgeons, and healthcare providers. Core Responsibilities Short-Term Exception Management (STEM) Lead all aspects of the U.S. STEM processes, governance forums, and communication cadence. Monitor potential supply disruptions and proactively identify risks to product availability, customer orders, and surgical case fulfillment. Collaborate with Global Supply Planning and Manufacturing partners to understand the latest supply outlook and translate impacts into actionable plans for the U.S. market. Develop and present shortage mitigation recommendations and prioritization strategies to cross-functional stakeholders. Lead weekly STEM reviews and Commercial-facing supply forums, ensuring alignment on risks, constraints, and recovery actions. Commercial & Customer Communications Serve as the primary supply chain point of contact for the U.S. Commercial organization regarding inventory availability, backorders, recovery plans, and supply constraints. Provide timely and accurate communications regarding product availability, incoming supply, allocation decisions, and service recovery plans. Act as a liaison between Global Supply Chain and Regional Commercial teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective decision-making. Support high-priority customer situations, competitive conversions, instrument set requirements, and strategic commercial opportunities. Allocation & Demand Management Manage manual allocation processes for constrained inventory to optimize customer service and business performance. Execute order-to-order reallocations and demand prioritization activities to support critical customer needs. Manage allocation rules, order restrictions, and exception processes within ERP and order management systems. Optimize inventory deployment strategies to improve fulfillment performance and maximize available supply. Performance & Continuous Improvement Drive performance against key service metrics, including: On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), Customer & HUB Backorder, Set Fulfillment, Supply Recovery Performance, etc. Conduct root cause analysis of service failures and supply disruptions. Lead corrective and preventive actions in partnership with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Commercial teams. Identify opportunities to improve STEM processes, decision-making frameworks, and supply chain responsiveness. Support reliability, process optimization, and Last Mile execution initiatives to improve the customer experience. Analytics & Business Insights Analyze supply, demand, inventory, and service performance data to assess risk and drive recommendations. Develop scenario analyses and evaluate tradeoffs during supply-constrained situations. Create executive summaries, dashboards, and presentations to communicate supply risks, mitigation plans, and service impacts. Support monthly S&OP and supply review processes through data analysis and issue escalation. Qualifications / Requirements: Education Required: Bachelor's undergraduate degree in engineering, business, operations, supply chain disciplines, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree or MBA. Experience and Skills Required 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Operations, Logistics, or related disciplines. Experience supporting supply disruption management, allocation processes, or demand prioritization activities. Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels. Must be proficiently using Microsoft Office and experience with SAP
