As a Senior R&D Engineer, you'll drive the development of advanced marine solutions, collaborate with experts across disciplines, and help deliver technologies that shape the future of sustainable shipping. You will be mainly accountable for: Maintaining recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work. Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them. Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them. Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development. Qualifications for the role You hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or a related field. You have at least 5 years of experience working with IT/OT infrastructure in roles such as Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Specialist, Solution Architect or similar. You have solid experience in designing, implementing and managing IT/OT infrastructure, including server platforms, virtualization, containerization, industrial networks and cybersecurity solutions. You have strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms and modern IT/OT environments. You are experienced in network architecture, system integration, monitoring solutions, automation and Infrastructure as Code. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible and source control tools such as Git is considered an advantage. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with stakeholders across functions to deliver secure, reliable and high-quality solutions. You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.
