Seniority Level: Job Description Template Job Title: Category Buyer Capex & MRO Reference code: Job Grade: 7 Job Holder: Location: Leuven, Belgium Travel The scope of this job will require some international travels within Europe. approximately 5% of the time Reporting to: Procurement & Sustainability Manager Capex & MRO Category Buyer is responsible for development of European Category and Sourcing Strategies for the Capex & MRO scope and implementation of them via strategic sourcing projects and other non-sourcing initiatives. PURPOSE OF ROLE Support the deployment of the RPO category strategy for Capex & MRO Europe within the required geographical scope Support the assessment of the supply base through translation and communication of RFPs Define & execute sourcing as according to internal requirements Perform supplier relationship management through monitoring of key deliverables (SLA, KPI & Financials) Provide analytics reporting on actual volumes/ prices and variances vs. budget Ensure supply chain security by maintaining an operational follow-up with key stakeholders regarding future volume forecasts & operational needs Ensure & guarantee compliance with internal policies through the sourcing process and implementation of tenders ACCOUNTABILITIES The key accountabilities for this role include but are not restricted to: Transactional procurement Support the budget definition and strategic planning processes, providing information about local situations Drive compliant procurement agenda within Europe scope, and have full accountability for the correct implementation of any concluded sourcing within the assigned scope Monitor Category and contracts performance, price variance and take appropriate corrective actions when needed; Resolve outstanding contract issues and claims Consolidate contracts locally as well as across countries Assure timely contract renewal and manage / plan contract expiration dates Increase performance of procurement operational KPIs Strategic procurement Define & execute the European Capex & MRO Strategy and roadmap; in close collaboration with business stakeholders. Provide information for global/cross-zone sourcing streams and implement global and zone contracts; Lead and execute strategic/tactical sourcing projects Implement European contracts (where required) in line with European S2P policies and overall strategic sourcing agenda Participate in the Category budgeting process Develop business award scenarios and final recommendation Review, sign and ensure implementation of negotiated contracts Continuous Improvement and Innovation Challenge existing ways of working in order to improve procurement results and efficiency, delivering procurement targets Understand and follow global and zone governance – policies and procedures. Suggest improvement opportunities; Increase Procurement coverage of the spend (where relevant); Drive proper/transparent contracting/purchasing methods; Identify, initiate and co-manage value engineering efforts, innovation projects with internal teams and external organizations; Support any procurement specific project (supplier portal, excellence program, etc.). Key Internal Stakeholder and External Supplier Management Engage with stakeholders and Suppliers to ensure supplier performance monitoring and alignment to targets, Manage supplier relationship and develop category Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Support and engage the Global Procurement office for procurement and category strategy deployment, as applicable, at regional and local level Support suppliers in using the sourcing tool (for example e-auctions) Regular follow-up of budget and financial figures with GPO and Zone/ country Finance Closely cooperate with your stakeholders Compliance, Policies and Reporting Embody the highest standards of compliance and ethics Implement the Code of Business Conduct in particular, as it relates to Procurement Adhere to Corporate & Social Responsibility policies & procedures. 3. SCOPE OF ROLE Manage daily operational business with suppliers with a high level of sophistication Responsible for flawless execution of transactional procurement in close collaboration with wider procurement team Run RFI/RFP/RFQ/eAuctions/Face to Face negotiations 4. QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Education University Degree or equivalent (preferable MBA or Master degree) Critical skills needed for success in this position: A. Strong analytical skills B. Sourcing knowledge and high standard of understanding of sourcing processes across different categories C. Good understanding of 8 steps sourcing D. Strong leadership skills E. Applied economics, finance, supply chain and commercial awareness, Basic knowledge of finance and accounting F. Ability to work under pressure G. Advanced PC and presentation skills H. English Language fluent – ability to communicate effectively by conveying information and ideas in English, in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicit inputs and provide open candid conversations, other European languages, are beneficial I. Establishing and developing collaborative working relationships for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives J. Curious and innovative mindset with the ability to build strong internal and external partnerships; K. Project management skills and ability to manage complex cross-country, cross-functional scope; L. 1-3 years working experience: Procurement, Supply Chain, Capex or brewing operations. M. Strong affinity with Capex & MRO, or a passion machinery and it’s respective maintenance. N. Eager to drive our ambitious sustainability agenda; O. Knowledge of Procurement processes, methods and techniques, including negotiation skills, e-sourcing tools, P. Category management experience is a strong asset;
