Join us and be part of this journey towards greater opportunities and brighter futures.IT Support Intern — Unpaid Internship As an IT Support Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to deskside support, end-user computing, IT service management, and infrastructure troubleshooting in a professional technology environment. This internship is designed as a learning opportunity where you will work under supervision, build foundational technical skills, and support IT teams with day-to-day operational activities. ResponsibilitiesLearn and apply service management fundamentals, including Incident Management, Problem Management, root cause analysis, and ticket analysis for deskside support equipment. Assist with troubleshooting local servers, network devices, and voice infrastructure under the guidance of Network and Server teams. Support basic troubleshooting activities using tools and commands such as Ping, Tracert, IPConfig, network commands, DNS validation, and Active Directory Group Policy test outputs. Gain exposure to hub room and data center structured cabling standards and support basic coordination activities as directed. Support end-user computing devices including desktops, laptops, hard phones, Wi-Fi devices, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and video conferencing equipment. Assist with hardware support tasks such as basic diagnostics, device checks, and supervised replacement or configuration activities for approved equipment. Learn software troubleshooting for Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Skype for Business, OneDrive, softphones, antivirus tools, VPN, Wi-Fi configuration, encryption tools, imaging, and firmware updates for deskside devices. Support IT teams in documenting issues, observations, and recommended inputs to help evaluate process exceptions. Assist with coordination and communication during high-impact or severity incidents, while ensuring real-time updates are shared through appropriate escalation channels. Support onboarding activities for new accounts, ramp-up and ramp-down activities, and account movement coordination under supervision. Assist with business continuity planning testing and failover readiness by supporting floor checkouts and validation activities. Learn site compliance and security practices, including audit readiness related to standards such as COPC and ISO 27001. Support IT ticket resolution activities within an ITIL-based framework while learning ticket documentation, prioritization, and closure processes. Assist with preparing change request documentation and supporting artifacts as defined by the process. Support validation activities such as BitLocker desktop checks, user OU policy validation, and computer OU policy validation. Assist with encryption software installation and validation on desktops and laptops to support compliance requirements. Contribute to positive IT service experiences by responding professionally, communicating clearly, and supporting operational teams. Be open to learning in a 24/7 IT support environment, including rotational shift exposure where legally permitted and aligned to internship requirements. Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided. Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports. QualificationsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 0–6 months of exposure to desktop/laptop hardware and software support in a Windows-based PC/LAN environment, or equivalent academic/project experience. Foundational knowledge of desktops, laptops, Windows operating systems, basic networking, and common enterprise applications. Exposure to tools or concepts such as Citrix client, Microsoft Office, Outlook, VPN, antivirus, imaging, and printer/scanner troubleshooting is helpful. Interest in IT service management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and customer-focused technical support. Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, document findings, and follow defined processes. Good communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under supervision and follow security, compliance, and confidentiality requirements. MCSE or similar certification is preferred but not required.
