Senior Risk Data Scientist role provides wide spectrum of technical and business support to FRMC team members in regard to data (governance, accuracy, accesibility), complex analysis, development of reports, risk/control data governance and technical support for risk related processes. This role is highly independent and in most of the cases decisions are taken within the role without approvals from higher levels. As very independent, this role will have to take the final decision, find the best solution that complies with GSK policy, implement it and communicate it to high level stakeholders. The same applies to new solutions, new technology and use of new systems. This role must drive the use of technology to mitigate risks more effectively or improve controls and ensure team members also embrace technology to find solutions. In particular, Senior Risk Data Scientist will: Design and develop analytical solutions to understand risks across key business areas/processes Maintain technical environments (Data Bricks, ADF, Power BI, Workspaces, MS SQL, GitHub, Apps Services, Python code, VBS code) Use SAP, Blackline, ARIBA as primary sources for financial/risk/controlling data (expert knowledge in at least SAP t-codes, relations and data model is a must). Create and maintain solutions based on available software Create and maintain data repository containg SAP, Blackline, ServiceNow data for Ad-hoc reporting Acts as a liason between Tech teams and FRMC business users Develop, deploy and maintain new technology concepts (Machine Learning, Python libraries) Translates business language into comprehensive digital solutions and communicate technical aspects to business users. Partner and guide Risk Managers with their digital solutions, use of data, analysis and creation of POC. Perform data analytics on data retrieves obtained from the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) organisation and build out standard reports that can then be used for handover to Continuous Control Monitoring to operational staff Develop relationships with ERP teams and other Tech/business teams to ensure successful data mining and analytics activities are conducted regularly Partner with the Process Operations teams globally as well as Global Process Owners (GPOs) to identify stakeholder needs and report trends in process gaps, process risks with a view to create positive risk management impact Proactively engage Process Operations teams/GPOs to identify opportunities to leverage technology and analytics in connection with driving simplification and efficiency across processes Participate in internal and external benchmarking exercises Maintain a detailed understanding of the underlying service landscape and the tools/platforms used to generate metrics and performance data Participates on cross-functional and matrixed projects to reduce risk and/or implement new or enhanced controls related to key processes or systems The role combines technical knowledge and expertise (hands-on), and business knowledge from Accounting, Finance and Controlling areas. Key Responsibilities:Design and develop analytical solutions to understand risks across the key business processes Ensure documentation and training is current for how reporting, metrics and insights are created Perform as a process expert at extracting and analyzing data from a diverse range of sources Support regular reporting including those reports related to value measures and voice of customer to support the service agreement Provide ad-hoc reporting to service lines when requested to support service improvement and transformation activity Deliver cost effective, timely high-quality reporting and analytics across complex compliance/risk organization while complying with GSK and legal ethical standards Execute analytics to provide insights to Global Finance risk & control environment and enable decisions on the adequacy of the business control framework Perform data analytics on data retrieves obtained from the ERP organisation and build out standard reports that can then be used for handover to Continuous Control Monitoring to operational staff Be a team member on various special projects requiring data analytical and risk assessment skills e.g. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Provide clear, insightful interpretation of available internal and external data Basic Qualifications:Azure certifications SAP certifications Proficiency in SQL, Python ServiceNow data structure and reporting Experience working with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, MS SQL, Azure Data studio (or similar) Experience in Power BI development (DAX), Power BI administration (Workspaces), Power Automate Experience using MS suite (office, share point, teams etc) Experience in development of Machine Learning / AI solutions (knowledge of the resources, concepts, libraries) Experience using GitHub Financial/Accounting basic knowledge (concepts, terminology, processes etc) SAP FI/CO knowledge (tables, table structure, t-codes, background jobs, scripting, concepts etc) Experience using *.js, json (basic concepts) Azure architecture design, concepts, tools Understanding of Risk management and controls in Finance Work Arrangement:This role follows a hybrid working model. You will be expected to work on-site in Poznań 2–3 days per week, be available for in-person collaboration. In addition, this position may offer an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
