We pride ourselves on offering a responsive, high quality and local service. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Air Liquide is searching for proactive Branch Operative to join the team in Derby. The primary focus of this role is operating the company van to provide an efficient, reliable, and friendly delivery service, directly transporting goods to customer sites and internal branch locations. When not out on delivery—or during busy periods and holiday coverage—you will support the broader branch operations, including warehouse management, customer service, and administrative tasks. Primary Responsibility: Delivery & Logistics Drive a van to deliver products safely to customer sites and internal branch locations. Serve as the face of the business during drop-offs, ensuring a high-standard, satisfactory delivery experience for all external and internal customers. Secondary Responsibilities: Warehouse & Logistics: Process and record incoming goods accurately; store and organize warehouse stock; participate in timely and accurate stock counts; maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse environment. Customer Service & Sales: Answer incoming phone calls to process orders, confirm product availability, and provide merchandise details; handle counter inquiries and process cash and card payments securely; offer advice on product selection and resolve customer complaints promptly. Trade Counter & Branch Support: Proactively inform regular customers of new products, services, or price changes; maintain store merchandise displays, product literature, office catalogues, and price files; assist with goods purchasing under the direction of the Branch Manager. Are you a MATCH? Essential: Full, clean UK driving licence. Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of customer service. A working knowledge of health and safety requirements under the HASAW Act. Desirable: Valid forklift licence (training can be provided). Knowledge of engineering and welding processes/requirements. Familiarity with ISO9002 standards.
