Director of Public Policy, Greater China Region

Job description

Meta is seeking a strategic leader for our Greater China Public Policy team. The role requires significant experience either working with or in government, politics or a regulatory agency, with a deep knowledge of the political and regulatory dynamics in the region as well as the ability to grasp complex technical and policy issues related to the Internet and new technologies. In this role, you will lead the team and work closely with colleagues in legal, comms, marketing and others across the business and the globe, as part of the Policy leadership team for the APAC region. You will manage strategic outreach and policy campaigns, and engage with trade associations and third party groups to explain our position on key policy issues. You have a strong local network, outstanding judgment and persuasive skills, creativity and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Additionally, you also have excellent writing and analytical skills combined with a passion for our mission, emerging technologies and policy work. The Director of Public Policy, Greater China Region will have overall responsibility for our relationships with policy makers and officials in this region. This position will be based in Hong Kong and requires willingness to travel frequently.
