Overview Build the team that will define our next chapter in dermatology ! Incyte is preparing to launch a new therapy for the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), also known as acne inversa – a chronic, complex, and often debilitating skin condition associated with significant comorbidities and a substantial burden on patients' quality of life. This launch marks the beginning of a broader product strategy, and additional indications are expected to follow, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to grow the role and scope of responsibility over time. We are looking for the leader who will give that team its direction, its standards and its belief in what it can achieve. As the National Sales Lead, you will lead eight Customer Engagement Managers across Germany. You will turn our ambition into a national customer engagement approach, then bring it to life through exceptional coaching and close attention to what is happening in the field. The culture you create will be visible in every territory: in how people prepare, how they listen, how they collaborate and how they follow through. This role turns IAI's national commercial strategy into consistent, high-quality execution in the field. It combines people leadership with commercial strategy, ensuring the CEM team delivers scientifically grounded, needs-based product positioning with a patient-centered perspective, and fosters collaboration across multidisciplinary stakeholders to support the optimization of care pathways within the HS ecosystem. Job Summary The National Sales Lead HS builds, leads, and coaches a high-performing team of 8 Customer Engagement Managers (CEMs) to consistently achieve business objectives across the HS therapeutic area. The role develops and implements the national customer engagement strategy, translates brand strategy into clear territory and account-level plans, and drives excellence in omnichannel execution across all customer touchpoints. Success in this role requires a genuine understanding of the CEM role, including network and stakeholder management, product positioning, territory and account strategy, and market observation. The CEM Lead coaches the team credibly, removes obstacles, and models the behaviors expected in the field. The National Sales Lead partners closely with Marketing, Medical, VAP and with other leadership functions across the Business Unit, to deliver seamless customer experience and ensure the field organization has the insights, tools, and support it needs to succeed. The role builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, contributes to the commercial strategy, and provides regular feedback on market dynamics to the Commercial team. It also champions innovation, field force effectiveness, and digital transformation, while maintaining high standards of talent development, employee engagement, and compliance. Essential Functions of the Job Team Leadership & Capability Development: Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8 Customer Engagement Managers (CEMs), fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and customer-centric culture. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, provide ongoing feedback, and drive individual development plans to strengthen team capabilities. Empower the team through effective coaching, field accompaniment and training, and the implementation of new customer engagement approaches, tools, and technologies. Development and implementation of national sales strategies: Develop and execute the national customer engagement strategy in alignment with brand objectives, ensuring consistent and effective implementation across all territories. Drive customer-centric engagement models that optimize customer experience, support appropriate product use, and deliver sales and market share objectives. Partner closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, VAP, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure aligned execution of strategic priorities and customer initiatives. Network & Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Key External Experts (KEE), multidisciplinary care teams, scientific experts, professional societies, and relevant healthcare decision-makers. Strengthen and expand external national networks to support scientific exchange, disease awareness, patient pathway optimization, and long-term business objectives. Representing the company at scientific meetings, congresses, educational events, and stakeholder engagements to enhance visibility and foster meaningful partnerships. Establishing and implementing new sales approaches in this area: Develop innovative sales approaches: Design and implement new strategies and structures to strengthen collaboration between the company and external experts. Design and introduce new processes: Build and implement forward-looking methods for customer engagement, sales management, and market development. Empower the CEM team: Introduce new technologies, tools, and working methods as well as targeted training to optimally prepare the team for new requirements. Collaboration with internal stakeholders: Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, medical and VAP teams to ensure that external networks are effectively integrated into the company strategy. Provide insights and feedback from external networks to support product positioning and go to market strategy. Market observation and competitive analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, scientific advances, and competitive activities. Analyze this information to identify opportunities and risks early and take appropriate action. Operational Excellence: Promote effective use of CRM systems and analytics to improve decision-making and field force effectiveness. Ensure timely and high-quality implementation of national initiatives, campaigns, and cross-functional projects. Drive adoption of digital channels, omnichannel capabilities and best practices to improve customer experience and business outcomes. Compliance with guidelines: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and internal company guidelines and regulations in all activities and interactions with external experts. Promote a culture of compliance and ethical business practices within the team and organization. Qualifications Completed studies in business administration, natural sciences, or a related field; an MBA is an advantage. Pharmaceutical representative training according to §75 AMG Completed studies in a relevant field (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, biosciences). Several years of experience in specialty care, dermatology, or other specialty/hospital-based markets. Strong experience of competitive drugs in the field of dermatology Existing network of key healthcare professionals and stakeholders is a plus. Proven leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and motivating teams. Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Ability to leverage data assets, CRM systems, and digital tools to drive business performance. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken. Willingness to travel regularly within Germany, including overnight stays.
