Job Purpose Act as the Global Process Owner (GPO) for SMAS production and management accounting processes, driving standardization, governance, and continuous improvement across all regions and manufacturing sites. Lead a team of 2 direct reports who deliver process improvement projects and manage SMAS global standardization and automation initiatives. Define and maintain global process standards, policies, controls, RACI models, and ways of working to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence within SMAS. Partner with Global Supply Chain Finance, Digital & Tech, GSC Finance Board, C&C and Product Costing GPO and other key stakeholders to shape the future state of finance processes and systems. Lead process improvement, automation, and simplification initiatives, supporting global system evolution programs, including S/4HANA deployment activities. Ensure SMAS processes operate effectively and comply with GSK finance policies, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations. Build organizational capability by developing process expertise, promoting knowledge sharing, and establishing a culture of continuous improvement and standardization across the SMAS organization Key Responsibilities: Own and govern end-to-end SMAS finance processes, ensuring standardized process design, clear ownership, and effective process performance management across all regions and sites. Manage a team of 2-4 direct reports - coach, motivate and develop the team, support succession planning and the GSK Talent Review process. Define global process standards, operating procedures, controls, and RACI frameworks, maintaining alignment with Finance policies and business requirements. Partner Global Supply Chain Finance, Digital & Tech, RPA, GSC Finance Board, C&C and Product Costing GPO, and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize process improvement and automation opportunities. Lead the development and implementation of process simplification, standardization, automation, and digitalization initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and user experience. Establish and monitor process improvement and automation KPIs, ensuring that improvement actions are implemented where required. Drive consistency in month-end close and management accounting activities by promoting best practices and harmonized ways of working across the SMAS organization. Lead governance forums and communities of practice, ensuring effective communication, alignment on priorities, and sharing process improvements and lessons learned. Provide process expertise and strategic guidance for system implementations, ERP transformation initiatives, reporting solutions, and finance digitalization programs. Coordinate global process documentation maintenance, ensuring procedures, training materials, and knowledge repositories remain current and fit for purpose. Support issue resolution and root-cause analysis for complex process challenges impacting financial reporting, product costing, inventory accounting, and close activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Digital & Tech, and Global Services organizations. Coach and develop process SMEs and subject matter experts, strengthening organizational capability and supporting succession planning for critical process knowledge. Represent SMAS process interests in governance boards and strategic initiatives impacting Global Supply Chain Finance. Basic Qualifications: Degree level education in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline. Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred. At least 15 years’ experience in manufacturing finance, management accounting, product costing, and financial reporting processes. Extensive experience in a similar role with people management responsibilities. Significant experience in process ownership, process excellence, or shared services environments. Strong understanding of internal controls and financial compliance requirements. Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale process standardization, automation, and transformation initiatives. Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across multiple functions, geographies, and organizational levels. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational priorities and long-term transformation objectives. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong project management and change management capabilities. Advanced knowledge of ERP and finance systems, including SAP and related finance technologies. Experience with reporting, analytics and automation solutions such as SAC, Power BI, BlackLine, RPA. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to work effectively within a complex global matrix organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in English. In addition, this position may offer an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
