This Position reports to: Service Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and coordinate Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) and service activities, ensuring timely execution and effective customer support. You will work with internal teams and customers to coordinate service delivery, provide technical support, and maintain compliance with ABB safety, quality, and service standards. You will also contribute to smooth service execution by using planning tools, diagnosing and fixing technical problems, and maintaining accurate service documentation. The work model for the role is: #LI - On-site – Peenya, Bangalore This role is contributing to the Automation – Energy Industries business in India. Main stakeholders are internal service and engineering teams, customers, and other relevant business functions. You will be mainly accountable for: Planning and coordinating Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) activities using planning and scheduling tools to ensure timely execution and effective service delivery. Providing technical support for service project execution, including commissioning, maintenance, diagnosing and fixing system issues, and customer support activities, with a focus on ABB System 800xA DCS environments. Managing AMC contracts, coordinating with customers and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with service commitments, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Preparing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring smooth project and maintenance operations. Our team dynamics You will join a collaborative and customer-focused team, where you will have the opportunity to work on industrial automation and service activities while supporting customers and internal stakeholders. Qualifications for the role You have 3+ years of experience in Industrial Automation or Service Engineering in DCS/PLC and process control environments. You have practical experience in programming, testing, and commissioning of ABB System 800xA DCS, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. You have a good understanding of AMC planning and execution, along with experience using planning and scheduling tools. You have experience with DCS/PLC systems and industrial service environments; experience with ABB AC500, Freelance, Compact HMI, or other ABB DCS systems will be an added advantage. You have experience with industrial communication interfaces such as Profibus, Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850, or similar technologies. You have solid problem-solving, customer communication, technical support, and project execution skills, with a commitment to quality and HSE requirements. You have a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering discipline and are willing to travel for customer support and site activities, as required.
