The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team of AGC Biologics is a team proud to set strategic EHS direction for the Søborg site, support the health and safety of our +1000 and secure regulatory EHS compliance! As our new Principal EHS Specialist, you will enter a crucial role as a subject matter expert (SME) within EHS ISO management, supporting chemical safety and contribute with your broad working environment experience to help solving a broad range of EHS matters. The team is responsible for setting strategic EHS direction as well as supporting our +1000 colleagues and the continuity of the business. Besides having a key role in this, you will be instrumental in the continuous development of the team, the EHS strategy, systems and processes. You will join a dedicated team of four full-time colleagues and two student assistants. We will be welcoming you with a very informal tone and close collaboration, and we truly enjoy spending time together if it is having a good laugh over lunch or taking time together for an off-site. Several team members have joined AGC Biologics during the past years, so they remember everything about being new to a global CDMO and will support you in your onboarding as well as through continuous sparring and knowledge sharing. We are looking for someone who is really passionate about leveraging their knowledge and competencies as a go-to-SME and joining our global CDMO organization" - Tomas Winther, Director of EHS Your daily work as a Principal EHS Specialist and SME The site have an integrated EHS management system certified within ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001. You will be responsible for this system including simplification, development, operation and internal and external audits. You will also be responsible as coordinator and go-to person for three of our H&S representative groups covering Development, Quality and our Support Functions. A significant part of our work within the team is to support the organization regarding chemical and environmental risk analysis and assessments and it is expected that you contribute here too. Therefore, it is also expected that you have a thorough understanding of how to transform environmental and chemical data (SDS, OEL etc.) into practical job safety assessments. On top of this, you have experience and a natural ability to support the organization within many different EHS situations. With your broad experience within operational H&S work this will come natural to you. This also includes engaging in GEMBA walks etc. to understand the processes at the site and hence how to support in finding the best solutions. With your level of expertise, we believe you can support and mentor the organization. We are looking for someone who is outgoing and curious to engage with the rest of the organization to create strong relationships. You will be in close collaboration with and support the health and safety representatives of the Occupational Health and Safety Organization including driving and follow-up on work place assessments (APV). As a team, we will stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements within EHS. We are looking for an experienced EHS SME! A crucial foundation of our EHS work is navigating according to the Danish EHS legislation. Therefore, a requirement for this position is fluency in Danish, in terms of complete professional and technical understanding. In this role you will be utilizing experience from various areas within EHS. The combination of this skillset typically translates to a minimum of 5 years of experience. Bringing experience in the EHS field is more important to us, than a particular degree - we welcome your application if you bring an MSc or BSc in relevant fields, e.g. Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent. Getting into the role will come more naturally with experience from the biopharmaceutical or chemical industries, but we welcome you to apply regardless of industry background.
