Project Role : Technology Support Engineer Project Role Description : Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution. Must have skills : Oracle Database Administration (DBA) Good to have skills : NA Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Skill : MSSQL Database Administration JD : CL9 Key Responsibilities : Key Responsibilities : A: Lead and oversee the technical support and maintenance of database systems within a defined operating model, ensuring adherence to processes and SLAs across the team B: Manage and delegate all support activities including monitoring of databases, incident resolution, and monitoring tickets while ensuring timely closure C: Guide the team in performing and reviewing database functions like DB restarts, backups, user management, restore, patching, troubleshooting, and performance management while ensuring quality and compliance D: Own and drive the creation, review, and modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance Technical Experience: MS SQL Database Management: Expertise in managing and administering MS SQL databases, including recent versions and various storage options, with the ability to lead architectural discussions and review decisions made by the team. Performance, Security, and Availability: Deep expertise in configuring replication, optimizing performance, planning resource requirements, and ensuring database security and availability, with the ability to set standards and review team outputs. Database Operations: Extensive experience in executing and overseeing complex database procedures such as upgrades, backups, recovery, database patching, migrations, and provisioning SQL Server instances (both clustered and non-clustered). SQL Proficiency and Features: Advanced proficiency in writing, reviewing, and optimizing SQL queries, strong understanding of MS SQL features such as SQL Server Agent, and ability to drive documentation standards and technical specifications across the team. Collaboration and Support: Strong understanding of MS SQL limitations and workarounds, capable of leading a team in a 24x7 support environment while coordinating with stakeholders and escalation teams.
