This position reports to: Quality Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure local unit has the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer. This role is contributing to the EL Smart Power business in Xiamen China. You will be mainly accountable for: Leading production line PPAP (Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA…) implementation for new product, including new testing device development and validation, trail run and product validation and approval Production line FPY, PPM, 5M1E monitoring and improvement Plan & arrange regular product & component reliability test, eg. endurance test, temp-rise test, electric life test, etc. to monitor quality PPS (Practical Problem Solving): Leading PPS team to ensure fast response and resolution for quality issue and escalate from L1 to L2 & L3 Support Product Engineer for engineering change validation Define quality standards & testing specification (checklist) for localized parts together with R&D and PE Review components’ sample testing reports, assemble on product to verify quality before final approval Carry out technical audit on supplier site to review PPAP and manufacturing process Coach and support suppliers on quality for localization, outsourcing & continuous improvement Define & adjust sampling plan for incoming components based on quality performance Responsible for the daily work planning, task allocation, coaching, staff motivation, and performance evaluation of the PQE team, as well as cross-departmental collaboration to ensure the team operates efficiently. Qualifications for the role Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, familiar with stamping, machining, PCBA manufacturing, and component assembly processes, and knowledge about breaker quality characteristics, control plans, and common defects and analysis. Over 8 years of experience in PQE-related work, experienced in leading cross-function quality improvement team to achieve quality objectives. Familiar with and able to apply quality tools such as APQP, FMEA , MSA, SPC, PPAP, CP, 5 Why, 8D, Six Sigma, MINITAB. Possess strong logical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-department collaboration skills; clear oral and written communication skills; capable of producing high-quality audit reports, quality improvement plans, performance evaluation reports. Strong stress resistance, capable of rapid response and execution in urgent situations; principled, strictly adheres to quality standards, and able to balance quality, cost, and delivery efficiency.
