This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and can apply both to Monzo’s most important and complex challenges. As a Staff Data Scientist, you’ll lead efforts on strategically important, business-critical problems. You’ll apply judgement in areas of organisational or technical complexity, steward initiatives end-to-end, and focus your hands-on contribution where it can create the greatest impact. You’ll be a trusted technical partner to senior leaders, raise the bar for Data Science across Monzo, and build capability in others through coaching, reusable approaches and clear standards.
