Job Description: An opportunity for a Systems Engineer for A400M Mission Planning System has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Transport A/C Mission Support Systems Solutions team (TADMO7) within the Engineering Department. Our team develops and maintains mission support and planning systems for the A400M, C295, and MRTT platforms. These systems enable the operation, evaluation, and development of military aircraft. You will become part of an agile, multi-functional team responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of the Mission Planning & Restitution System (MPRS) for the A400M program. RESPONSIBILITIES The main tasks of the jobholder will be: Execute end-to-end system engineering tasks throughout the life cycle, including concept definition, design, requirements engineering, and qualification in an agile environment. Manage assigned task scope and quality, ensuring feasibility, reusability, safety, technical performance, and risk management. Translate customer requirements into compliant system and product specifications to maximize satisfaction. Define and execute system tests while contributing to overall process optimization. Provide in-service technical support and manage software updates for systems deployed at military bases. Participate in customer meetings and technical workshops. We are looking forward to knowing you: Education: University degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Computer Science, Telecommunications) or a related technical discipline. Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in system or software development. Technical knowledge: Proficiency in system engineering methods and management tools (e.g., DOORS) and familiarity with agile software development processes. Languages: Advanced / Negotiation level in English. Soft skills: Strong team player with a proactive mindset and excellent communication skills for customer interaction. Valuable / Nice to have: Operational knowledge, experience in A400M systems or mission planning systems, automated testing experience, and negotiation level in Spanish will be valued.
