Job Description: As a Quality Engineer II, you will have a direct impact on the daily success of our products and organization. You will be responsible for providing all levels of QA/QC support to manufacturing operations at our site which includes leading and developing business quality assurance activities, developing staff, and engaging in cross-functional processes and teamwork. You will also implement and facilitate continuous improvement activities including quality, productivity and effectiveness at a site level. Responsible for supporting site level quality systems, processes and procedures to assure product quality Responsible for engaging strong intradepartmental and cross-functional / organizational relationships to drive quality system requirements Support manufacturing operations by assisting in the identification, analysis and resolution of a broad range of product and process problems. Review and identify trends in the data by using Pareto charts and provide routine reporting to company management on observed trends in procured material quality and product quality, make recommendations for improvement and corrective actions. Support customers by providing root cause determination and corrective action implementation for returned materials, participate in manufacturing review board activities and internal/external quality audits. Analysis of non-conformities using internal systems in accordance with our non-conformance process, and act as our onsite supplier quality engineer for supplier related problems. Assist inspectors with piece part quality issues and drive corrective action to completion. Interface with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Also interface with Engineering to enhance drawings and requirements that impact a supplier's ability to produce that part. Assist in the conducting of supplier quality system audits for the purpose of evaluating and re-evaluating suppliers. Ability to perform process audits at supplier sites. Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally. Mentor and coach across all functional areas through training and communication of quality initiatives Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 2+ years experience and / or training in Quality. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently Establishes methods and procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives and receives guidance in terms of broad goals Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, diagrams, bill of materials, specifications, processes, procedures, revision control requirements, basic geometric dimensioning and tolerance Must have the ability to work with and communicate with people at various levels, including operators, inspectors, manufacturing supervisor, quality and manufacturing engineers, customer and government representatives Proficient computer skills with various software applications This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
