JOB TITLE : Manager - HSE REQUIREMENTS Education / Experience B.E. Environment/M.Sc./B.Sc. or Any graduate having mandatory PDIS /ADIS. Post-Diploma in Industrial Safety Minimum 10 to 12 years of relevant field, preferably in chemical industry Technical skills & Competencies / Language Knowledge of : Statutory HSE requirements Chemical processes HSE legislations Basic knowledge of Waste management and Environment protection Proactive ness Assertiveness Communication JOB PURPOSE Generic To assist in maintaining and strengthening the Industrial Hygiene management system and practices of Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals and PD functions at the Ankleshwar site. Particularly, focus on Occupational Health & Hygiene, Workplace safety, Integrated HSE Practices, and living Group’s Values and Code of Ethics Specific additions (if needed) N/A KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Assisting HOD in ensuring that necessary consents / licenses / permissions pertaining to HSE related legislations from regulatory authorities are obtained and to provide update on regulations on Health Safety and Environment to HODs. Ensure compliance to all applicable regulation & Liaison with authorities like Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), BOCW etc. Ensuring adherence to required Compliance, Quality & HSE systems in the area under scope and control Assisting and coordinating HOD in HSE related matters with DPMC and GIDC fire station. Continually monitor, analyze and minimize Process Safety & Occupational Health impact to reduce risks & hazards at the site by carrying out plant round, inspection. Also assisting HOD’s on the shop floor for implementation of corrective actions. Participating in analyzing, implementing and ensuring Process Safety & Occupational Health matters to reduce the impact on people working at the site. Also coordinate with different departments for new products, Processes, change in existing processes, during modification, and installation of new / replacement of equipment & facility, including validation and qualification in line with Zentiva group HSE guidelines. Ensure that on site emergency plan is in place & updated regularly and guiding the concerned functions in implementing the same Participating in ‘on site and off site emergency plan’ and guiding the concerned functions in implementing the same, including Environmental aspect. Management Representative and ensure continuous improvement for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards – Environment Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OH&SMS) Monitoring, Reviewing and strengthening HSE system to mitigate potential risks. Ensuring & promote awareness amongst employee to prevent unsafe conditions or behaviors and promptly reporting other potentially hazardous situations Assisting HODs & site management for HSE related accident / incident prevention, investigation, updating data and statistics. Plan & ensure internal HSE inspection / audit are conducted on regular basis & compliance is effectively monitored. Develop & monitor a comprehensive industrial hygiene program as per company standard & guidelines To ensure sampling and measurement of potential occupational hazards Ensure corrective actions to control hazards are in place and time to time review Identified and evaluated exposure to a variety of chemical, physical and biological hazards Conduct health program to recognize, eliminate and control occupational health hazards and diseases Checking and issuing various Safety permits and ensure contractor’s safety management at site Support and guide industrial hygiene monitoring activities. Assist other departments in preparation of HSE related procedures, SOPs, forms etc. Assist HOD in reporting of data on HSE as per site, Group and Statutory requirements. Organizing and conducting HSE related meetings, training / awareness programs including execution of mock drill. Assisting HOD for vendor selection / development for HSE related matters. Carrying out any other assignments or projects as per the instruction of the Lead HSE to meet with the organizational objectives and priorities.
