Purpose: The Senior Specialist, Analytical Capabilities generates insights into Pharmacovigilance (PV) quality and compliance through proactive identification and analysis of key data points and compliance risks. The role develops and enhances visualization and reporting solutions using tools such as Qlik, Tableau, and/or Power BI to improve how PV quality and compliance are monitored. The Senior Specialist partners with Medical Safety Quality (MSQ) team members, business partners, and technology teams to understand requirements, deliver analytical solutions, improve process efficiency, and support more complex data integrations and reporting needs. You will be responsible for: 60% - Analytical Solution DevelopmentDevelop and enhance reports, visualizations, and dashboards that strengthen PV quality and compliance monitoring and improve the efficiency of metrics generation. 10% - Training and User SupportProvide training and user support for data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports. 10% - Metrics DeliverySupport the production of routine metrics and ensure assigned deliverables are completed within established timelines. 5% - DocumentationDevelop and maintain key metrics-related documentation, including SOPs, SLAs, compliance metric definitions, training materials, and knowledge resources. 5% - GMS Metrics SupportProvide support and backup for GMS Metrics development, configuration, and master data maintenance. 5% - Technology and Continuous ImprovementEvaluate relevant technologies and contribute recommendations that improve the delivery, maintainability, and usability of analytical solutions. 5% - OtherPerform other duties as assigned. Decision-Making and Problem-Solving Make day-to-day technical decisions for assigned reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical deliverables within established standards and governance. Works with the Director, Digital Change Lead, solution owners, and business stakeholders to assess requirements and recommend priorities for new or enhanced capabilities. Ensures assigned solutions aligned with MSQ technical direction, data standards, validation requirements, and applicable procedures. Independently investigates complex data and reporting issues across source systems, data pipelines, warehouses, semantic models, and visualization layers, escalating material risks or decisions when appropriate. Participates in digital transformation initiatives and cross-functional projects, contributing technical expertise and delivery support. Collaborates with internal and external technology partners to understand emerging capabilities and identify practical opportunities for improvement. undefined Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative, scientific, technology, business, or related discipline. Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant professional experience required. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data modeling, data analysis, or analytical solution development required. Hands-on experience developing data visualizations, dashboards, and complex reports using Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable business intelligence tools required. Experience with SQL and relational data concepts required. Ability to understand data lineage and troubleshoot issues across source systems, integration or transformation layers, data warehouses, and reporting applications required. Experience maintaining, enhancing, or reverse-engineering existing analytical applications and report portfolios preferred. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Agile delivery practices, and controlled or validated environments preferred. Strong analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently on complex assignments required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across business and technical teams required. Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines required. Project coordination or technical workstream leadership experience preferred.
