Working closely with mentors and product, design, data, and back‑end engineers, you’ll learn how large‑scale systems operate and play a meaningful role in building new technologies, features, and tools. What you’ll do: Deliver code that is well-documented, tested, and operable Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help build the future of Pinterest Take ownership of the completion, quality, and maintainability of your tasks and projects Leverage AI tools in your daily engineering workflow to accelerate delivery—brainstorming approaches, writing and refining code, and producing clear documentation Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to build products, systems, and tools that support Pinterest Proactively communicate ideas and perspectives with candor, and continue growing professionally through feedback, learning, and development opportunities Contribute to engineering work across backend, full stack, mobile, web, and security domains, depending on team What we're looking for: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, expected by June 2027 Must be available to start full-time between January 2027 and September 2027 At least one year of programming experience through internships, research, coursework, teaching, personal projects, open source, or hackathons Familiarity using AI as a learning, productivity, and engineering tool , and as an iterative coding partner, to accelerate engineering work while exercising strong judgment around accuracy, security, and when to ask for help Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C++, and familiarity with relevant frameworks, tools, or technologies such as React or similar. Technical requirements vary by team. Previous software engineering internship experience strongly preferred Strong communication skills and product sense Passion for Pinterest, comfort with ambiguity, and a growth mindset with a willingness to continuously learn In-Office Requirement Statement: We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style.
