Job Description In Sandoz Development Center Slovenia (SDC), we develop high-value generic medicines that improve patients' lives. We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join the Pharmaceutical Technology Group within the SDC Pharmaceutical Development Department. The successful candidate will support routine pharmaceutical technology activities such as blend preparation, granulation, tableting, and other operations related to the manufacture of laboratory batches. The Pharmaceutical Technology Group is responsible for the preparation and manufacture of laboratory batches of various solid oral dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, and other pharmaceutical products. Your key responsibilities: Production of laboratory batches and execution of related activities according to project plans and timelines. Ensuring timely preparation and handling of raw materials, conduct sampling activities, and support the efficient execution of laboratory projects. Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and contribute to process optimization and operational excellence. Performing and documenting laboratory activities in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Ensuring compliance with quality requirements (GMP, ICH), health and safety standards, and other Sandoz requirements. Maintaining data integrity and ensuring accurate documentation of laboratory activities in electronic systems. Participating in the introduction of new equipment and optimization of existing laboratory equipment. Performing other duties as instructed by management or required by development activities, including tasks defined in annual objectives and performance targets. Demonstrating digital literacy and contribute to operational excellence initiatives. What you will bring to the role: Secondary school degree in a pharmaceutical, chemistry or other relevant field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, no experience required in case of BSc. Ability to coordinate, plan, and execute activities effectively, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. High level of responsibility, accuracy, and reliability. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Proficiency in English (written and spoken). What we offer: Job location: Ljubljana Contract type: permanent with a six-month probation period Expected weekly working hours: 40 *Pay range: €26,720 – €40,080 gross yearly *Salary at Sandoz is based on job level, qualifications, specific skills, and work experience. Fully proficient candidates are usually placed around the market median, less experienced candidates lower in the range, and those with strong or niche expertise higher. When determining placement within the range, we also consider internal pay equity and external market data. Our compensation package additionally includes: Annual bonus (STI): percentage of annual salary. Vacation allowance: in 2026 it was €2,450.00 net. Christmas bonus: in 2025 it was €2,100 gross. Iščemo Tehnika eksperta v laboratoriju ki se bo pridružil skupini Farmacevtska tehnologija znotraj oddelka Farmacevtski razvoj SDC, ki bo podpiral izvajanje rednih farmacevtsko-tehnoloških aktivnosti (priprava zmesi, granulacija, tabletiranje ipd.) za izdelavo laboratorijskih serij. Skupina Farmacevtska tehnologija je odgovorna za pripravo in izdelavo laboratorijskih serij različnih trdnih peroralnih farmacevtskih oblik, kot so tablete, kapsule in druge oblike. Smo ekipa visoko motiviranih in strokovno usposobljenih sodelavcev. Vaše ključne odgovornosti: Izdelava laboratorijskih serij in izvajanje z njimi povezanih aktivnosti v skladu z načrtom. Zagotavljanje pravočasne priprave in ravnanja s surovinami, izvajanje vzorčenja ter podpora učinkoviti izvedbi laboratorijskih projektov. Proaktivno podajanje predlogov za izboljšave, prepoznavanje priložnosti za napredek in prispevanje k optimizaciji procesov. Izvajanje in dokumentiranje laboratorijskih aktivnosti v skladu z načeli dobre dokumentacijske prakse. Zagotavljanje skladnosti z zahtevami kakovosti (GMP, ICH), standardi varnosti in zdravja pri delu ter drugimi zahtevami družbe Sandoz. Zagotavljanje integritete podatkov in natančnega dokumentiranja laboratorijskih aktivnosti v elektronskih sistemih. Sodelovanje pri uvajanju nove opreme oziroma optimizaciji obstoječe opreme. Izvajanje drugih nalog po navodilih oziroma potrebah razvoja ter nalog, opredeljenih v letnem dogovoru o ciljih in kazalnikih uspešnosti. Digitalna pismenost in operativna odličnost. Vaš prispevek k delovnemu mestu: Srednješolska izobrazba področja farmacije, kemije ali druge ustrezne smeri. Minimalno 5 let ustreznih delovnih izkušenj, v primeru visokošolske strokovne ali univerzitetne diplome izkušnje niso potrebne. Sposobnost koordinacije in načrtovanja aktivnosti ter njihovega načrtovanja in izvedbe, kritično razmišljanje in dobre veščine reševanja problemov. Visoko stopnjo odgovornosti, natančnosti in zanesljivosti. Poznavanje orodij Microsoft Office. Aktivno znanje angleškega jezika.
