At ABB Electrification Smart Power in Alingsås, technology plays a key role in enabling safe, efficient and sustainable production. We are seeking a Factory IS Manager interested in supporting operations while also contributing to the site’s future digital development. This is a unique opportunity to join during an important transition period. You will partner closely with the current role holder before their retirement, building valuable knowledge of the factory environment while gradually assuming responsibility for the position. Over time, you will have the opportunity to contribute to digitalization initiatives, cybersecurity improvements, and the long-term development of the sites IT/OT landscape. The role is onsite and is based in Alingsås, Sweden. Your role and responsibilities As Factory IS Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT operations that support the factory's daily activities. You will serve as the primary local IS/IT contact, collaborating with colleagues across production, engineering, quality, and global IT functions. Your focus will be both operational and forward-looking, ensuring reliable service today while supporting tomorrow's digital development. You will be accountable for: Supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving IS/IT services and infrastructure that enable reliable factory operations. Acting as the link between local business needs and ABB’s global IS/IT organization, ensuring effective coordination of IT services, systems, and end-user support. Overseeing digitalization and IT/OT initiatives, with a focus on deploying and refining manufacturing systems and digital tools. Promoting cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and business continuity through awareness, assessments, and continuous improvements. Managing service-related issues, requirements, and improvement opportunities to enhance operational stability, efficiency, and user experience. As the role develops, there will be opportunities to broaden your responsibilities and contribute to larger strategic initiatives supporting the future of the factory. Qualifications for the role Relevant university degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, industrial IT, or IT operations. Experience working in Citrix and Microsoft-based environments. Understanding of infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity. Experience from a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience managing improvements, implementations, or digitalization efforts. Fluent English and good Swedish communication skills.
