Position Summary As an Expert Site Reliability Engineer at Altera, you will be a pivotal technical leader, providing strategic guidance and deep technical expertise to Hosted clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing operations of complex projects, serving as the primary technical liaison between hosting, development, and client teams. An ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in systems engineering, a strong architectural mindset, and a passion for mentoring, driving quality, and delivering exceptional client satisfaction within a dynamic healthcare IT environment. Key Responsibilities Provide continuous technical guidance and support to clients, ensuring their ongoing success. Collaborate closely with internal technical teams to facilitate the successful implementation and integration of proposed solutions. Partner with business stakeholders and Technical Account Managers (TAMs) to translate business requirements into robust, industry-standard, and Altera-aligned solutions. Develop and document comprehensive technical architectures for clients, encompassing infrastructure, data flow, integration points, domain trust, security, and performance. Design and document the integration of diverse systems, components, and third-party services to create detailed application environments. Create clear architectural diagrams and documentation to effectively communicate designs to the account team. Identify potential technical risks and proactively develop and implement mitigation strategies. Address challenges related to project deliverables and client environments, ensuring smooth execution. Conduct weekly reviews of control systems for assigned clients and take appropriate actions to mitigate issues. Contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes and best practices within the SRE team. Maintain high levels of quality and client satisfaction for assigned accounts. Collaborate with the Project Management Organization (PMO) for resource allocation and provide technical input during project status meetings, resolving technical roadblocks. Oversee architecture and technical delivery to enhance the hosting experience for clients. Work in coordination with, or under the mentorship of, a Site Reliability Architect or Principal Site Reliability Engineer, while also providing mentorship, education, and leadership to other SREs. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for clients, including architecture design documents, configuration guides, and release notes. Role Requirements Total Years of Experience: 7+ years of overall work experience. Relevant Experience: 2-3 years of expert-level experience providing systems engineering in an assigned product. Education: Bachelor's Degree (Preferred). Preferred Experience: 7+ years of experience with healthcare products in a Support, Development, or Consultancy environment. Mandatory Skills Deep expertise in systems engineering and technical architecture. Proficiency in designing and documenting complex system integrations, data flows, and infrastructure components. Strong understanding of security considerations and performance requirements in hosted environments. Proven ability to identify and mitigate technical risks. Experience with control systems and proactive issue resolution. Excellent technical documentation skills (architecture design documents, configuration guides). Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams. Travel: Up to 25% travel may be required. Salary range: $90,000–$135,000. The salary range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position at the time of posting.
