The role As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for standardising, optimizing, and operatively leading our entire shipping and transport operations. You will steer inbound and outbound logistics flows, take ownership of carrier performance, and ensure reliable, on-time delivery to our customers. With your hands-on mentality and strong leadership, you will establish clear logistics standards, optimize freight costs, and continuously develop your team. The day-to-day Planning, managing, and optimizing end-to-end shipping processes (inbound / outbound) Organizing and coordinating domestic and international transportation Managing and evaluating freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics service providers Preparing and verifying shipping and customs documentation Handling and monitoring dangerous goods shipments in compliance with regulatory standards (ADR, IATA, IMDG) Ensuring on-time delivery and tracking overall delivery performance (KPIs) Optimizing freight and shipping costs Managing cross-functional interfaces between production, export control, procurement, customs, and customers You should apply if you Professional experience in shipping logistics, transport management, and/or freight forwarding A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or comparable qualification (alternatively: completed commercial apprenticeship in freight forwarding/logistics with extensive professional experience) In-depth expertise in international shipping, transport operations, customs clearance, and foreign trade law Solid knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and classification for road transport (ADR) Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Jira, and MS Office (especially Excel) A structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style with a high sense of responsibility Business-fluent proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken) Note: We operate in an industry where women, as well as other minority groups, are systematically under-represented.
