As Senior Manager, PX M&A, you will play a critical role in guiding complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships, helping colleagues navigate change while enabling strategic growth across the globe. In this role, you'll partner with leaders across People Experience, Business Development, Legal, Finance, and beyond to drive people-focused outcomes, manage risk, and create seamless transitions that support both our business objectives and the experiences of our colleagues. The Senior Manager, PX M&A supports the People Experience (PX) Global Benefits, Wellness and HR M&A leader, prioritizing PX M&A goals to meet the business development (BD) plan and managing critical PX deadlines with internal and external stakeholders. A core focus of the role is supporting diligence and integrations teams to deliver PX M&A commitments while maintaining strict confidentiality, pivoting to meet aggressive timelines, and partnering with global, cross-functional teams. Team collaboration is a priority in managing the people strategy across key BD activities, which may include due diligence, strategy and workforce planning, workforce financial costs, legal-entity stand-up, works council and union consultation, post-signing integration or divestiture planning spanning acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and carve-outs, frequently across multiple jurisdictions. The role operates on a global scale in support of USCER People Experience. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver PX project management and develop PX strategic plans to support the BD deal, leading PX workstreams across the PX organization and influencing decisions that impact those workstreams. Support PX due diligence and pre-deal analysis in collaboration with PX, Total Rewards, Legal, Finance, BD, and other PX subject-matter experts as needed. Interpret specific deal structures and their planning implications (e.g., asset, stock, alliance, or joint venture) as they pertain to PX inputs to business development transactions. Develop and track PX reporting to Steering Committees, the CPMO, and external stakeholders regarding people-related risks, including reviews and costing for workforce data, compensation and benefits programs, employment contracts, collective agreements, pension and retirement liabilities, and ongoing litigation or compliance exposure. Maintain a clear understanding of the workforce landscape, PX structure and partner with PX business partners on org design. Provide the policy and practice documentation required for BD transaction decisions. Oversight of post-deal integration requirements and change management — including leading the colleague transfer process, addressing terms and conditions, cross-border issues, and benefit changes. Provide support for consultation or works-council engagement, change management, and communications. Monitor and escalate risks and develop mitigation plans to enable the BD transaction within the scope and structure of PX plans. Establish appropriate PX sub-teams and project management for COEs and other PX business partners plus coordination with GBS, Finance, Digital and Legal workstreams. Assume responsibility for lessons learned, continuous improvement opportunities, and any new business development processes BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years in Human Resources Function as specialist or generalist and/or comparable consulting experience in in M&A. Understanding of all PX functions (disciplines) – the role of PX Business Partner, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and global PX operations. Experience in working in a global environment for organizational change with understanding of works council consultation, labor unions and/or local employment law, change in control agreements, employment contracts and PX policies. Successful track record in in leading virtual PX teams within complex project management environment and comfortable in an environment with high level of problem-solving for unique & innovative business opportunities. Strong business acumen and clear understanding of markets, trends and ability to learn different external business models. Above average analytical skills to synthesize org, workforce and financial information while meeting aggressive timelines. Proficient in SharePoint applications, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management platforms. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
