How Will You Make an Impact?: Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Olink technology helps scientists measure thousands of proteins in small biological samples, generating insights that can advance our understanding of human health and disease. As a Senior Material Handler supporting Olink operations, you will play an important role in this mission by ensuring the materials and supplies needed to produce these innovative research products are received, stored, handled, and delivered safely and efficiently. A Day in the Life: - Receive inbound shipments from suppliers and put away products, equipment, and shipping materials - Fulfill customer orders, including picking, packing, and shipping of Olink Proteomics kits and instruments - Coordinate day-to-day parcel and freight shipping activities with FedEx and other third-party logistics providers - Perform inventory management for lab and distribution operations - Work with lab coordinators to ensure lab operations have sufficient reagent supply - Track lab and distribution stock and conduct periodic inventory checks - Ensure internal and customer orders are correctly processed from start to finish - Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of logistics space and storage areas - Communicate with customer care specialists to help provide customers with up-to-date information regarding their orders and lead times - Independently solve logistical or general problems that may arise and apply a customer-first approach to all aspects of work Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Preferred: 0-2 years of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field, or equivalent educational experience in supply chain or life sciences Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: - Excellent communication, time management, planning, and organizational skills - Ability to problem solve and work well under time pressure - Strong team player and fast learner - Ability to be flexible in day-to-day work tasks Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Employee will be required to stand and move around for long periods of time as well as frequently lift boxes and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs. in order to accomplish logistics functions What We Offer: Compensation Competitive Pay Performance Related Bonus where eligible Annual merit performance-based increase Excellent Benefits Medical benefits Paid Time Off/Annual Leave Employee Referral Bonus Career Advancement Opportunities Compensation and Benefits The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $20.41–$30.61. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
