Your Role: The Manager Investor Relations is an experienced and strategic professional who reports to the Head of Investor Relations and supports the Investor Relations Directors across sectors, on ESG incl. broader governance topics and processes, on investor targeting, reporting requirements and capital market events. The role acts as a sparring partner within a clearly defined support and advisory remit, contributing analytical depth, preparation, coordination and hands-on execution across the Investor Relations function. By intention the role does not have a specific business sector focus. Focus areas will shift based on impact to be created, with the role ultimately providing a broad cross-sector perspective on investor expectations, capital-market developments, industry and competitor dynamics, valuation drivers and shareholder trends. This perspective supports the Sector Investor Relations Managers and the Head of Investor Relations prepare for important capital-market interactions and articulate consistent, credible and value-focused messages. The position supports the development of high-quality investor materials and communications, translating complex operational, financial, scientific and strategic information into clear messages for institutional and retail investors, sell-side analysts and other capital-market stakeholders. It contributes to the overall equity story and corporate narrative while preserving sector-specific ownership and accountability. The role works independently within agreed priorities, processes and guidance and requires the ability to work effectively under high pressure, particularly when managing time-sensitive deliverables or matters with potential follow-on effects across investor communications, reporting and capital-market activities. Over time, the future incumbent may further develop into one of the Investor Relations Director roles, depending on demonstrate capabilities, experiences and organizational opportunities. Key responsibilities Contribute to the development and execution of the overall investor relations strategy in alignment with company objectives, business priorities and capital-market requirements, under the direction of the Head of Investor Relations. Act as a sparring partner to the three Sector Investor Relations Managers through analysis, preparation, constructive input and a cross-sector perspective. Frame sector-specific investor relations strategies, activities and messages with the group narrative, financial objectives and disclosure principles. Monitor and interpret investor sentiment, analyst views, equity research, market developments, industry trends, competitor positioning, valuation drivers and shareholder trends across all three sectors and at company level. Contribute to the preparation of earnings scripts and speeches, presentations, talking points, briefing documents, Q&A documents, strategic messaging, earnings communications and market updates. Translate complex operational, financial, scientific and strategic information into clear, credible and value-focused communications tailored to investors and sell-side analysts. Support preparation and delivery of results communications, investor meetings, non-deal roadshows, conferences, capital-markets events and other stakeholder engagements. Coordinate cross-sector contributions to the Annual Report, ESG-related reporting and long-term shareholder engagement initiatives. Coordinate investor-relevant content across sectors and functions to promote accuracy, consistency and alignment with the broader corporate narrative. Apply strong standards of confidentiality, accuracy, compliance and disclosure discipline in all activities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of investor relations processes, tools, data, reporting and knowledge management across the function. Lead defined, complex or time-bound cross-sector work packages under the overall direction of the Head of Investor Relations. Scope and impact Contributes to results within the investor relations discipline by delivering high-quality cross-sector analysis, preparation, coordination and technical input. Strengthens the effectiveness and consistency of the overall investor relations function through close collaboration with the three Sector Investor Relations Managers. Contributes analysis and recommendations to investor relations activities and the company’s positioning in the capital markets; final accountability remains with the Head of Investor Relations and the relevant Investor Relations Manager. Advances stakeholder, operational, project and communication objectives across the three sectors and at company level. Provides a reliable cross-sector resource for the Head of Investor Relations and the Sector Investor Relations Managers. Is accountable for the quality, accuracy and timely delivery of assigned analyses, materials, work packages and coordination activities. Works independently within agreed priorities, processes and guidance, seeking alignment on complex, sensitive or strategically significant situations. Qualification Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, communications, life sciences or a related discipline. Typically 5 or more years of relevant experience in finance or closely related field. General understanding of the company’s business sectors, relevant markets, industry environments,; sector specialization is not required. Demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders and preparing materials for executive-level audiences. Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret operational, financial, scientific and strategic information. Experience leading cross-functional projects or time-bound initiatives involving senior stakeholders. Exceptional communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complexity in a clear and investor-relevant narrative. Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on execution mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity. High emotional intelligence, discretion, professional presence and sound judgment. Demonstrated integrity, intellectual rigor and commitment to the company’s values and purpose.
