SC Excellence DDS KL (Specialist) Objectives of the Position The Data Analyst & Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible for delivering data-driven insights, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, managing reporting datasets, and supporting operational decision-making within DDS Operations. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end process automation, digitization, and data‑driven improvements within DDS Operations and plays a critical part in enhancing operational efficiency, elevating work quality, strengthening compliance, and enabling informed decision‑making through analytics. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of supply chain and logistics operations. Job Requirements Data Analytics & Insights Conduct exploratory, descriptive and diagnostic analyses Translate findings into actionable recommendations Develop KPI frameworks and business reviews Support benchmarking and ad hoc analytics Dashboard Development & Reporting Design and maintain Power BI dashboards Build data models, DAX measures and Power Query transformations Gather business requirements and develop reporting solutions Data Management & Governance Manage datasets, data models and pipelines Perform data cleansing, validation and reconciliation Support data governance and master data quality Process Automation Analyse existing DDS operational processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and work quality, primarily through automation and digital solutions Review and manage automation requests from internal stakeholders, translating business needs into effective digital tools and process enhancements Develop and implement automation solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Python, VBA Macros, RPA, and related technologies Maintain and optimize both new and existing RPA workflows to ensure reliability and continuous improvement Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Statistics or related field 3-5 years in data analytics, BI or supply chain analytics Hands-on Power BI experience, process automation, digitalization projects, or related fields SAP supply chain data experience preferred Advanced Power BI, DAX and Power Query Strong SQL Python (Pandas) SAP data structures and TM knowledge Data governance and quality management Microsoft Fabric/Azure analytics tools advantageous Power Automate, Power Apps Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and experience working with key performance indicators Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels and functions Strong planning, coordination, and interpersonal skills Culturally aware, self‑driven, adaptable, and innovative in problem‑solving and idea generation BASF has been present in Malaysia since 1989, and operates a manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
