Together we are shaping the future of Thornton & Ross by living our values of Integrity, Entrepreneurship, Agility and One STADA. STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Pharmacovigilance Placement Student Reading |U.K.| Full-time | 12-month Fixed Term Contract Commencing July 2027 | Salary £28,000 Step into the heart of patient safety as our Pharmacovigilance (PV) Placement Student and get hands-on experience in a real, regulated pharmaceutical environment. You’ll be part of the team behind our Denzapine Monitoring Service (DMS), helping to process safety information accurately, maintain key pharmacovigilance systems and records, and support our compliance with MHRA and EU safety regulations. Working in a hybrid pattern split between our Reading office and home, you’ll collaborate closely with PV Associates, Officers, the PV Manager and Head of PV, as well as internal teams and external partners — gaining exposure, responsibility and insight you won’t get from a typical student placement. We’re looking for a motivated 2nd year BSc student looking for a 3rd year placement in industry, who is proactive and detail-orientated, and is excited to bring fresh ideas to help shape the future of our PV team. How You Will Make an Impact Get hands-on with real safety case processing, data reconciliation and PV documentation, building a strong foundation in MHRA and EU pharmacovigilance requirements. Play a key role in the DMS by supporting patient and HCP registrations, blood result processing and patient profile updates. Help keep the company inspection-ready by supporting audits, maintaining high-quality records and escalating any safety or compliance concerns. Work closely with PV, Medical Affairs, Quality, Regulatory and external partners, developing strong professional relationships and communication skills. Benefit from structured training, on-the-job learning and active involvement in projects and improvement initiatives to grow your technical and professional skills. Join a business that lives its values — Integrity, Entrepreneurship, Agility and “One STADA” — and learn how these translate into day-to-day GxP-compliant practice. What We Are Looking For Currently studying a Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences or related degree, with a genuine interest in the pharmaceutical / healthcare sector. Meticulous and well-organised, able to handle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and deliver accurate, high-quality work. Clear, confident communicator (written and verbal) who is comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems and databases. Eager to learn in a regulated environment, taking ownership of your development and asking for guidance when needed. Reliable team player who builds strong working relationships, listens actively and contributes positively to cross-functional teams. Adaptable and proactive, able to meet deadlines, respond to changing priorities and show accountability for the tasks you own. How we care for you At Thornton & Ross our purpose “Caring for people’s health as a trusted partner” motivates us every day. And what would be a better place than starting with our own employees. Which is why we give much in return: 💸 Competitive annual salary of £28,000 plus bonus scheme. 🗝 Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme offering 6% employer contribution rates. ⌚ Hybrid working – we spend three days in the office, with the remaining days working at home. 🌴 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays with the potential to buy up to 5 additional days. 💉 Free winter flu jab. 🧠 Wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Programme and KYAN Wellbeing – offering free coaching and counselling services for you and your family. 🚲 Cycle to Work Scheme. 🎉 Plus, many more employee benefits & celebration events. STADA Group values and promotes its diverse culture, regardless of gender, age, social or ethnic origin, disabilities, religion, ideology, or sexual orientation. We use the strength of our uniqueness to develop creative ideas, expand our experience and increase innovative strength. Our focus is on equal opportunities, respectful cooperation, and the promotion of an inclusive working environment. We are looking forward to your application and welcome applications without a pharmaceutical background. #LI – AJ1
