Job Description SummaryAs the EHS Specialist for Chemical Compliance, you will ensure global chemical compliance and hazard communication requirements are met across the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics product portfolio. You will provide technical leadership for Safety Data Sheets (SDS), GHS classification and labeling, poison centre notifications, emergency response information, and related product compliance activities. Working closely with EHS, Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams, you will support compliant product introductions and lifecycle management. You will help navigate evolving chemical regulations and ensure products meet global compliance requirements. Through collaboration and technical expertise, you will enable the safe and compliant distribution of PDx products worldwide. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world. Essential Responsibilities Lead the development, maintenance, review, and publication of, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs), Product Information Data Sheets (PIDs), and related hazard communication documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable global chemical regulations and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. Support classification of substances and mixtures and determine applicable hazard communication requirements. Assist with the design and review of product hazard communication labels in accordance with regulatory requirements. Provide technical guidance regarding MSDSs, hazard communication labeling, and product chemical compliance matters. Monitor and interpret global chemical regulatory requirements impacting PDx products. Support product registration and market access activities requiring chemical compliance documentation. Support Poison Centre Notification (PCN) requirements for products placed on EEA markets. Support compliance activities related to REACH, regional chemical regulations, and substance declarations. Support compliance strategies for emerging regulatory requirements and changing global frameworks. Maintain emergency response information required for external emergency response providers and downstream users. Support emergency response documentation and information-sharing processes. Assist with Dangerous Goods Safety Assessments and transportation-related product stewardship requirements. Provide technical input regarding chemical hazards during product distribution and customer use Partner with EHS, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Engineering/R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial organizations. Lead or support compliance projects related to hazard communication and chemical management. Provide technical consultation and training to internal stakeholders. Support continuous improvement of product stewardship and chemical compliance processes Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Regulatory Affairs, or related scientific discipline. Significant experience in chemical compliance, product stewardship, regulatory affairs, EHS, or related field. Working knowledge of GHS classification and labeling requirements. Experience authoring and maintaining Safety Data Sheets. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work across global and cross-functional teams. Advanced knowledge of global chemical regulations including REACH, CLP, UK REACH, OSHA HazCom, and related frameworks (preferred). Experience with Poison Centre Notifications and emergency response systems (preferred) Experience supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, healthcare, or chemical products (preferred) Experience working within highly regulated international environments (preferred) Provides specialized technical leadership in chemical compliance and product stewardship. Influences decisions across functions through subject matter expertise. Leads projects and initiatives with moderate organizational impact. Acts as a key compliance resource for hazard communication and product regulatory support. Drives standardization, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across the PDx business.
