Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech DePuy Synthes is recruiting for an Associate Marketing Manager, VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution (Knee), to support the U.S. downstream commercialization and adoption of enabling technologies in Joint Reconstruction. Position Overview This Associate Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, VELYS Knee Marketing, and play a foundational role in supporting the downstream marketing strategy and execution for the VELYS Knee platform. This individual will contribute to day-to-day marketing operations, campaign execution, content development, and performance tracking that drive customer acquisition, utilization, and retention. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career marketing professional who is passionate about MedTech innovation and eager to build expertise in robotic-assisted surgery commercialization. The role provides exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Upstream Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales Operations, Global Education, and R&D, offering a strong foundation for long-term career growth within J&J MedTech. Key Responsibilities Campaign & Content Execution Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including email, digital, print, and event-based tactics that drive awareness and adoption of the VELYS Knee platform. Assist in creating and maintaining marketing collateral, selling tools, training materials, and field communications under the direction of senior team members. Coordinate content reviews and approval workflows to ensure all materials meet regulatory, legal, and brand compliance standards. Launch Support Support go-to-market planning for new software and hardware releases by coordinating timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional inputs. Help prepare field readiness materials, including sales training decks, quick reference guides, FAQ documents, and launch communications. Track launch milestones and flag risks or delays to the senior marketing team. Market & Performance Analytics Compile and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer acquisition, utilization rates, and installed base performance. Conduct market research, competitive monitoring, and customer insight gathering to support strategic decision-making by senior leaders. Analyze campaign performance data and summarize findings with actionable recommendations. Cross-Functional Coordination Serve as a day-to-day coordination point between marketing and internal partners including Sales, Upstream Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations. Support logistics and content preparation for surgeon advisory boards, society meetings, and customer engagement events. Assist in gathering and organizing field feedback to inform messaging refinement, adoption barrier identification, and customer experience improvements. Administrative & Operational Support Manage marketing project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Maintain organized repositories of marketing assets, competitive intelligence files, and customer reference materials. Support purchase order processing, invoice tracking, and budget reconciliation for marketing programs. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field. 4+ years of professional experience in marketing, product management, or a related commercial function (internship or co-op experience counts). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); comfort working with data and creating presentations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Up to 20% domestic travel, including occasional overnights and weekends. Preferred Internship or co-op experience in medical devices, healthcare, or a related industry. Exposure to digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., email marketing, CRM systems, analytics dashboards). Familiarity with product launch processes or go-to-market frameworks. Interest in orthopedics, robotic-assisted surgery, or MedTech innovation. Experience supporting events, trade shows, or customer-facing engagements. Ability to work in clinical settings, including operating rooms and cadaver labs. On October 14, 2025, Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. It is anticipated following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by Orthopaedics employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans.
