SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Finance Transformation Manager
Accenture · London
Job description
SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Finance Transformation Manager Career level: Manager (CL7) | Location: London / Manchester / Edinburgh | Practice: Finance Reinvention Partner (SAP) Why this role This role owns the supply-chain finance and product-costing workstream end to end on large-scale SAP S/4HANA finance transformations, in front of the client, as the finance design authority for how manufacturing and supply-chain activity turns into cost transparency and margin insight. It's a role to become the person clients rely on to make the cost model hold up — product cost, inventory value and margin — and to grow into the design authority for our supply-chain finance work. Accenture is a leading solutions and services company. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and to lead in the safe, widespread adoption of AI. We bring together our people, deep industry expertise and technology to deliver end-to-end outcomes for clients — and Finance is one of seven Reinvention Partners at the centre of that. Finance RP brings the CFO agenda to life for clients — stronger performance, sharper insight, and better control. "Our clients want a partner that can help them reinvent—boldly, continuously and at speed… while continuously building the most client-focused, AI-enabled great place to work for our people—our Reinventors." — Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO What you'll bring Product costing and inventory valuation. Deep SAP S/4HANA product costing — standard, actual and variance — and how the material ledger carries actual costs and inventory valuation through goods movements. You understand how cost of goods sold is built and analysed, and how a cost estimate holds together from raw material to finished goods in a real manufacturing environment. Margin and profitability. Real depth in margin analysis and COPA / profitability — turning production and supply-chain activity into profitability insight that lines up with how the business and finance actually want to see it. You know where margin comes from, where it leaks, and how variances and cost drivers explain it. Finance process context. A clear view of how supply-chain finance connects to the wider Record-to-Report close and reporting — period-end for manufacturing and supply-chain environments, profit-centre and reporting structures, inventory and production-related controls, and the integration between logistics and finance. You can read the trade-off between operational flexibility and finance standardisation, and design for both. Leading delivery. You lead the supply chain finance workstream end to end — fit-to-standard, finance process design, testing and deployment — as the finance design authority for the domain, keeping solutions business-led and scalable. You manage dependencies with adjacent finance and supply-chain areas, work alongside SAP delivery teams while retaining ownership of finance outcomes and margin insight, and lead functional teams across onshore and offshore delivery. You facilitate design workshops with finance, supply-chain and operations stakeholders, and keep delivery on track through structured issue management, decision papers and clear reporting. Growing the practice. You contribute to how the practice grows — supporting proposals and bids, shaping supply-chain finance transformation approaches, and building reusable assets and points of view. Ways of working. We're increasingly an AI-first delivery team — bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, analyse and deliver, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. Experience of AI-augmented delivery is a real plus. Who you are You take ownership and lead from the front. You build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and coordinate finance, supply-chain and operations perspectives with confidence. You bring a collaborative leadership style and a value-led mindset — you can link a sharper cost model to better margin insight and stronger decisions for the CFO — and you develop the people around you. Good judgement, critical thinking and clear decisions under pressure are second nature, and you're comfortable in complex, multi-workstream SAP transformation environments. Things that set strong candidates apart: a track record (typically 7+ years) delivering product costing and supply-chain finance transformation on large-scale SAP S/4HANA programmes; the confidence to facilitate senior client discussions and lead complex design decisions; and a professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience). If you have most of this and the drive to build the rest, we want to hear from you — tell us what you'd bring. About Finance RP Within Accenture, the Finance Reinvention Partner helps clients improve financial performance around the CFO agenda — driving best-in-class performance, and sharper insight and benchmarking across the enterprise. In the UK and Ireland, our Finance RP practice brings together finance strategy and the platforms it runs on, including SAP, Oracle, Workday and EPM. You'd join our Platforms transformation offering within the practice: a growing team delivering large-scale, business-led finance transformations on SAP S/4HANA, and building AI into how we deliver. It's a place to go deep on supply-chain finance and product costing while staying close to the CFO agenda the work serves. What's in it for you Alongside a competitive salary and package (dependent on experience), you'll have an extensive benefits package including 30 days' holiday a year, private medical insurance, and 3 additional days' leave a year for charitable work of your choice. Accenture is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of society. Closing date: 28/02/2027. Accenture reserves the right to close the role earlier should a suitable applicant be found.
