Job description

We Are Accenture's Cybersecurity practice, a global leader in delivering end-to-end cybersecurity services across strategy, risk management, digital identity, cyber defense, and managed security. With security professionals in 70 countries and specialized facilities like Cyber Fusion Centers and Cyber Labs, we focus on embedding security into digital transformation programs, and delivering targeted cybersecurity solutions to protect digital assets, manage cybersecurity risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. We address the evolving challenges of cybersecurity in today's digital landscape. Our cybersecurity practice is supported by a global network of cybersecurity professionals, advanced tools, and partnerships with leading technology providers. We help organizations build resilience, protect their operations, and enable growth in a secure digital environment. You Are Passionate about leveraging cybersecurity innovation to drive strategic transformation across the Chemicals & Natural Resources (CNR) industries, including chemical manufacturers, oil & gas operators, mining companies, and agricultural enterprises. You develop and deliver cybersecurity services that protect critical infrastructure, enable operational modernization, manage enterprise and operational risk, and support compliance with industry-specific regulatory requirements. This role demands deep expertise across IT and OT environments and the ability to guide CNR clients through complex business, technology, safety, and resilience challenges. You assess current and future cybersecurity capabilities, advise on leading practices, and shape cybersecurity strategies aligned with each client's business priorities, regulatory obligations, and operational realities. The Work: As a Cybersecurity Manager, you will manage complex information security engagements and workstreams. You will provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise, coordinate project delivery, and serve as a key point of contact for client security, business, and IT stakeholders, Accenture domain experts, and third-party teams. You will lead; manage plans, risks, budgets, and deliverables; and help shape practical solutions that achieve committed client outcomes. As a team member, you'll be part of a Chemicals & Natural Resources industry team focused on applying cybersecurity expertise across the CNR value chain — from upstream exploration and extraction, to refining, processing, and distribution, through to chemical manufacturing and end-product delivery. You'll work closely with our CNR industry leaders to innovate and shape secure, resilient solutions for operational technology modernization, supply chain security, and industrial process safety. Client Engagement: Build trusted working relationships with chemical, oil & gas, mining, and agricultural client stakeholders, translating their cybersecurity, safety, regulatory, and operational resilience priorities into actionable workplans and deliverables. Initiative Delivery: Manage cybersecurity workstreams and project teams delivering solutions across cyber defense, AI-enabled security, risk management, and compliance, aligned with client objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. CNR Insight & Strategy Development: Apply deep knowledge of CNR operations, regulatory obligations, threat trends, and technology modernization to shape practical client strategies tailored to chemical, energy, and natural resource environments. Innovative Strategy Formulation: Collaborate with CNR clients to create and implement forward-looking strategies that secure operational technology modernization, process control systems, supply chain digitization, cloud adoption, and IT/OT convergence while protecting worker safety, environmental compliance, and operational continuity. Secure AI: Support CNR clients in the secure adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning across industrial operations — including AI-driven process optimization, predictive maintenance, and autonomous systems — ensuring AI deployments are implemented with security, safety, and governance controls embedded from inception. Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and coach project team members, assign work, review deliverables, and foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing delivery environment. Communication & Reporting: Develop clear recommendations, status reports, and executive-ready materials; present findings and delivery progress to client and Accenture stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with client stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Manage cybersecurity assessments, strategy workstreams, and implementation activities across CNR enterprise and operational environments, including IT, OT/ICS, cloud, process control networks, distributed control systems (DCS), SCADA, historian systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES), while supporting applicable requirements such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82, EPA Risk Management Program, TSA Security Directives, CIRCIA, API 1164, and industry-specific HSE regulations. Support senior leaders in advising CNR stakeholders on integrating cybersecurity risk management into operational resilience, capital programs, plant modernization, emergency preparedness, and sustainability initiatives. Manage CNR cybersecurity transformation workstreams focused on secure IT/OT convergence, network segmentation, internal network security monitoring, threat detection modernization, cyber resilience, and identity and access management for critical industrial infrastructure. Facilitate CNR-specific threat modeling, incident response, and recovery-readiness activities for risks such as ransomware, nation-state activity, supply chain compromise, insecure remote access, and attacks affecting chemical plants, refineries, pipelines, or mining operations. Work with architects, ecosystem partners, and technology vendors to develop scalable cybersecurity solutions that enable secure OT modernization, automation, cloud adoption, connected field devices, and digital supply chain services without compromising operational safety or continuity. Contribute CNR cybersecurity expertise to client engagements, proposals, and internal forums. Support Accenture Security and CNR teams in developing differentiated offerings, reusable assets, and go-to-market materials for CNR clients. Establishing trusted relationships with our clients Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
