Your Impact As a Development Manager, you will provide engineering leadership and delivery ownership for the modernization of a monolithic .NET application into containerized modern .NET (.NET 8+) microservices deployed on Kubernetes (Google Cloud Platform/GKE). Partner with architecture, product, and QA to plan and execute the migration roadmap, manage staffing and delivery for the Backend/Platform team, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery using Agile/Scrum practices. What the Role Offers Own end-to-end delivery of the monolith-to-microservices modernization program for the Backend/Platform team Plan sprints, manage backlogs, and coordinate cross-team dependencies with the UI/Frontend team and QA Recruit, staff, mentor, and manage performance of Principal Architects, Lead/Senior/Engineers, and QA engineers Report progress, risks, and budget status to senior leadership; escalate and resolve blockers Drive adoption of engineering best practices: code review standards, GitLab CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps Champion the .NET Framework to modern .NET (.NET 8+) migration strategy and containerization/Kubernetes rollout plans Facilitate architecture and design reviews together with the Principal Architect Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Product, Architecture, and Operations What you need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline 10+ years overall engineering experience with 3+ years in an engineering management/leadership role Hands-on background in modern .NET (.NET 8+) application development and enterprise product delivery Proven track record managing complex modernization/migration programs (monolith-to-microservices a strong plus) Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Artifactory, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/Linux environments Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience; excellent organization, communication, and planning skills Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Experience leading WPF-to-web migration initiatives Exposure to AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot Content management & Capture (IDP) domain experience would be a plus Experience with Kubernetes on Linux in production environments (GCP/GKE) Exposure to GitLab CI/CD and Artifactory for build/artifact management Content management/enterprise information management & Capture (IDP) domain experience would be a plus Experience with OpenText products would be a plus OpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
