Join our Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) development team in Kundl, where over 40 years of biotechnology expertise meet cutting-edge innovation. In this hands-on scientific role, you will plan and execute analytical experiments on biomolecules using technologies such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Capillary Electrophoresis, Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay and spectroscopy. You will interpret, document and communicate scientific results, contribute to equipment maintenance and qualification activities, and help drive continuous laboratory excellence. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Plan, execute and document analytical experiments on biomolecules using advanced laboratory techniques. Interpret scientific data and communicate results to support product and process understanding. Perform High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Capillary Electrophoresis, Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay and spectroscopy analyses. Own analytical equipment and coordinate maintenance, qualification and routine performance activities. Develop, optimize and implement analytical methods to support laboratory innovation and operational excellence. Prepare protocols, reports and laboratory procedures while ensuring accurate scientific documentation. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and contribute expertise to project and laboratory initiatives. Lead smaller scientific projects under supervision while building project management capabilities. Essential Requirements: Master’s degree with 1+ year of relevant experience, Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent technical education with relevant industry experience. Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Strong theoretical knowledge of biotechnology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or a related scientific discipline; knowledge of biomolecule analytics, purification processes and regulated environments is an advantage. Proficiency in laboratory and technical equipment, with hands-on experience in scientific experimentation and data generation. Strong digital literacy, including the use of laboratory software, computer-based tools and data analysis applications. Collaborative mindset with strong documentation, presentation and scientific communication skills. Desirable Requirements: Professional proficiency in German. Experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments, laboratory automation, digitalization and AI-enabled laboratory processes. Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 60.978,00 - 89.300,00 EUR The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
