Your background will involve contributing across projects including data engineering, technology architecture solution implementation, product selection and application strategy definition, or the introduction of technology to drive business improvement into an operational organisation. In our team, you will: Help clients harness data and AI technologies to solve business challenges, through the delivery of complex data programmes Help clients design, develop, deploy, and run high quality data engineering and AI solutions across a range of industries with varying business and organisational challenges Work with latest technology solutions from industry and academia and learn how to apply them to solve real world customer problems As a Data Engineering Associate Director, you will: Help manage our wider Data Engineering practice and capability Lead enterprise Microsoft Data & AI strategy, architecture and transformation initiatives. Define and drive adoption of modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Power BI. Provide strategic direction across data architecture, engineering, analytics, governance and AI. Own delivery across large, complex programmes, ensuring scope, quality, budget, timelines, risks and outcomes are effectively managed. Lead multidisciplinary data and technology teams and develop senior technical talent. Engage with C-suite and senior client stakeholders to shape data strategy and transformation roadmaps. Establish data governance, security, quality and regulatory best practices. Drive innovation and identify opportunities across Data, Cloud and AI. Support account growth, propositions, bids, solution shaping and strategic partnerships, including Microsoft. Provide executive-level reporting and governance to ensure successful programme outcomes. Provide architecture leadership for Data & AI, analytics and Generative AI initiatives. Lead architecture reviews, technology selection and technical assurance across major programmes. Support solution shaping, proposals, estimates and business development activities. Build strong relationships with clients and Microsoft technology partners. Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex solutions from inception to production and operationalisation, ensuring alignment with client needs and technical excellence. Provide strategic and technical leadership, shaping technology roadmaps, mentoring other developers, and fostering team growth. While ensuring the correct data architecture and patterns are used to solve the required problem. Play a pivotal role in the Accenture Data & AI community, driving thought leadership by sharing insights and experiences from cutting-edge client projects and research initiatives. We are looking for significant experience in: Experience in Data, Technology or Digital Transformation. Extensive experience leading enterprise Microsoft Data platforms and transformation programmes. Strong expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data services, Databricks/Synapse and Power BI. Strong understanding of data strategy, architecture, governance, security and AI. Proven experience managing large-scale delivery, budgets, risks and senior stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership of large, multidisciplinary technology teams. Strong consulting, commercial, client advisory and business development experience. Excellent executive communication and influencing skills. Proven experience leading technical teams and large-scale transformation programmes. Strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder-management skills. Experience in consulting, systems integration or large enterprise environments is desirable Complex programme planning and delivery in the data and AI domains Set yourself apart: Proven ability to deliver enterprise-scale data and AI services that impact end-user experiences and business outcomes. Certified cloud credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional). Experience in leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in delivering production-grade data and AI solutions.
