Additional Location(s): N/A Diversity - Innovation - Caring - Global Collaboration - Winning Spirit - High Performance At Boston Scientific, we’ll give you the opportunity to harness all that’s within you by working in teams of diverse and high-performing employees, tackling some of the most important health industry challenges. With access to the latest tools, information and training, we’ll help you in advancing your skills and career. Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions. Lead Business Analyst, Service Technology About the Role: Boston Scientific is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to support the transformation of global Capital Equipment service operations across GSMS, Salesforce/ServiceMax, SAP S/4HANA and related business processes. This position combines the delivery accountability of a Senior Business Analyst with functional leadership for the Business Analysts supporting a pod, domain, or major delivery stream. The Lead BA remains directly hands-on and personally owns the most complex, ambiguous, high-visibility / high-risk or cross-platform assignments from problem framing through requirements, testing, release, and post-release validation. Examples may include end-to-end service-to-cash changes, work-order or master-data issues spanning Salesforce and SAP, regulated releases, or initiatives affecting several regions and functions. In parallel, the role coordinates BA capacity, output quality, dependencies, acceptance activities, and coaching. It is not a review-only or coordination-only position: the Lead BA is expected to create critical deliverables, resolve difficult analysis problems, and help other BAs grow through live work and actionable feedback. Your Responsibilities Include: Hands-on ownership of the most complex analysis: Personally lead the stream’s highest-complexity initiatives and unresolved business problems. Own discovery, current- and future-state analysis, data and integration impacts, requirements, acceptance criteria, test strategy, and decision support. Produce critical artifacts when ambiguity, risk, or organizational impact requires senior judgment. Analysis planning, sequencing, and BA capacity coordination: Translate product priorities and the delivery of roadmap into a practical plan for discovery, definition, validation, and testing. With the CE T&S Manager, allocate BA work by priority, complexity, capacity, and development needs; forecast demand and keep analysis, testing and dependencies visible so urgent requests do not displace higher-value work without an explicit decision. Problem framing and value definition: Lead workshops, interviews, observations, and evidence review to clarify the problem, affected users, root causes, desired outcomes, constraints, assumptions, and success measures. Use data, process performance, stakeholder insight, and recurring support issues to separate symptoms from causes. Present options, trade-offs, recommendations, and supporting business cases. Requirements and backlog readiness: Define, or assure the quality of, epics, features, user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria, and non-functional needs. Ensure requirements are solution-agnostic, clear, testable, and traceable to the business outcome. Before commitment, confirm decisions, dependencies, impacted users, testing and acceptance of ownership, specialist input, and compliance with the agreed Definition of Ready. End-to-end process, data, and cross-platform analysis: Assess requests within the full-service process and user journey, including installed base, cases, work orders, field service, parts, contracts, entitlements, billing, master data, reporting, and controls. Identify impacts across Salesforce/ServiceMax, SAP S/4HANA, integrations and adjacent teams, involving business and technical specialists as needed. Design validation and delivery clarification: Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Tech Leads and Functional Analysts to confirm proposed solutions meet agreed outcomes, requirements, controls, and user needs. Challenge gaps and unintended impacts without owning technical design. Use prototypes, end-to-end demos, and realistic scenarios to validate understanding early, clarify build questions and route material scope or priority changes for product decision. Testing, UAT and acceptance coordination: Define the test approach for complex work, including scenarios, positive and negative cases, data, expected results, cross-functional coverage, and formal testing or UAT needs. Execute complex tests where assigned, coordinate SMEs and regional users, manage defects and retesting, ensure acceptance of coverage, and consolidate evidence for readiness and sign-off decisions. Release readiness, adoption, and sustainment: Coordinate documentation, work-instruction updates, training inputs, train-the-trainer sessions, knowledge transfer, communications, support handover, and post-deployment validation. During hypercare, distinguish defects from training, data, or process issues, then feed unresolved gaps, adoption barriers and lessons learned into the backlog with clear ownership. Quality, compliance, and traceability: Maintain a clear evidence chain from business needs through requirements, design decisions, test cases, results, approvals, and release. Support design-control, validation, and monitoring activities in regulated environments, ensuring records are complete and stored appropriately. Surface risks early to prevent avoidable CAPA/NCEP, audit, validation, or release-readiness gaps. Quality review and dependency management: Review BA outputs according to complexity, risk, and colleague experience, focusing on material decisions and defects rather than rewriting every document. Give clear feedback and agree on corrective actions without becoming an approval bottleneck. Resolve cross-pod inconsistencies and ensure each material dependency has an owner, action, and target date. Stakeholder communication and decision facilitation: Build effective relationships across business, product, UX, data, Quality, technology, and delivery teams. Prepare concise decision summaries covering the issue, evidence, options, implications, and recommendations. Surface conflicts and missing decisions early, facilitate local resolution and escalate only when necessary, making the requested decision and delivery impact explicit. Coaching and continuous improvement: Coach BAs through live assignments, helping them strengthen workshop preparation, analysis, writing, testing, and stakeholder management. Provide timely, observable feedback, support development plans, and give the CE T&S Manager objective evidence for performance discussions. Use defects, rework, handoffs, readiness failures, and stakeholder feedback to improve BA standards and ways of working. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications Required: Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience supporting system implementations, digital transformation, and service platforms. Senior business analysis capability: +5 years of proven ownership of complex initiatives from problem framing through requirements, testing, release, adoption, and sustainment. Advanced skills in facilitation, process and data analysis, root-cause analysis, acceptance criteria, and business-case development. Platforms and service domain: Experience with Salesforce and/or ServiceMax. SAP S/4HANA integration and capital-equipment or field-service processes, including cases, work orders, parts, contracts, billing, master data, and reporting is desired. Agile, testing and compliance: Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, backlog refinement, Definition of Ready, Jira, and Confluence. Experience with system testing, UAT, defect management, traceability, and regulated or validated delivery. Familiarity with test/Xray or Windchill is beneficial. Coach and influence: Ability to co
