With a distinct, non-promotional mandate, the SSHP builds trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, institutions, hospital leaders, and community stakeholders to identify care gaps and co-create solutions that improve access, timeliness, care pathways, patient flow, system capacity, and sustainability. The SSHP collaborates compliantly across functions, including field and Head Office partners, while preserving its non-promotional mandate. As a strategic bridge between Pfizer and healthcare stakeholders, the SSHP translates system insights and evolving healthcare and pharmacy practices into quality-improvement initiatives aligned with Global Hospital & Biosimilars priorities. The role requires a creative, entrepreneurial, customer-centric, proactive leader who can navigate complex healthcare environments, build trusted partnerships, and mobilize stakeholders around innovative solutions that improve access and support a more efficient, sustainable healthcare system. RESPONSIBILITIES: Gastroenterology (IBD) / Rheumatology Partner with community and academic gastroenterology and rheumatology stakeholders to understand patient journeys, care pathways, system readiness, unmet patient and healthcare-system needs, and barriers to timely, appropriate care. Co-create scalable workflow and care-pathway solutions that improve patient flow, practice capacity, and care delivery. Generate system insights that support efficient, sustainable, patient-centred care models. Hospitals & Institutions Serve as a strategic partner to hospitals and institutions, focusing on oncology biosimilars, supportive care, and anticoagulation. Understand institutional care pathways, operational challenges, and system readiness. Collaborate with institutional stakeholders to improve infusion capacity, patient flow, continuity of care, and, where appropriate, institution-led biosimilar transitions. Co-create quality-improvement initiatives that optimize capacity, resources, and sustainability. Build trusted relationships with pharmacy directors, clinic managers, medical leaders, and other key stakeholders. Strategic Partnerships & Healthcare-System Innovation Explore innovative partnership models, tools, workflows, and care-enablement approaches addressing identified patient and system needs. Support standardized processes and frameworks aligned with Canadian evidence-based guidelines, expert opinion, and stakeholder needs. Lead or support compliant Strategic Healthcare Enhancement Projects and quality-improvement initiatives with appropriate governance and defined responsibilities. Generate and communicate healthcare-system insights to inform organizational understanding and strategic planning. Support sharing and scaling relevant quality-improvement learnings across healthcare settings. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues, with clear roles and responsibilities within each function’s scope. Maintain the SSHP’s distinct, non-promotional, non-demand-generating mandate in all activities and engagements. Represent Pfizer at relevant conferences, meetings, and events as a credible strategic partner. Conduct all activities according to applicable Pfizer policies, procedures, non-promotional standards, and compliance requirements. Identify and report adverse events and product complaints in accordance with Corporate requirements, including Your Reporting Responsibilities requirements. What You Bring University degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is an asset. 8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or healthcare experience, including strategic partnership, institutional, field-based, or healthcare-system roles. Experience in quality improvement, co-creation, system partnerships, and/or complex projects. Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare environment, patient pathways, and evolving healthcare and pharmacy models. Strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to translate complex healthcare needs into practical, scalable solutions. Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with credibility among senior healthcare stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaborate effectively and compliantly across functions. Strong project management, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong initiative, adaptability, and comfort navigating complexity and ambiguity. Experience in specialty care, biologics, biosimilars, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and/or hospital-based care is an asset. Bilingualism is an asset. Role Requirements Field-based role; must reside in Ontario, preferably in the greater Toronto area. Ability to travel regularly within the territory, nationally, and internationally as required. Valid driver’s licence and driving record that meets applicable Pfizer requirements. Maintain documentation required for international travel. The annual base salary for this position ranges from $107,400 to $179,000.
