What You'll Be Doing • Work alongside lead architects and mid-level engineers on high-performance SerDes IP projects, contributing to system analysis and design initiatives • Develop and refine MATLAB models for serial communication systems, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge communication technologies • Support the team in analyzing digital and analog circuit designs, applying communication theory fundamentals to real-world engineering challenges • Collaborate on innovative projects that leverage AI and advanced software tools to optimize workflow processes and system performance • Present technical findings and make the case for specific project approaches, developing both your technical expertise and professional communication skills What You'll Need • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (senior year students preferred; Master's students are also welcome to apply) • Strong foundation in digital communication, analog circuits, system analysis, and control systems • Solid understanding of communication theory fundamentals with some exposure to analog design principles • Familiarity with MATLAB is highly desirable; experience with Python is a plus • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively • Passion for learning new technologies and contributing innovative ideas to improve workflows and processes Key Program Facts Program Length: 8 months Location: Mississauga, Canada Working Model: In-person (on-site) Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-time Start Date: May 2027 Equal Opportunity Statement Synopsys is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
