Join Sanofi in one of our corporate functions and you can play a vital part in the performance of our entire business while helping to make an impact on millions around the world. We are an innovative global healthcare company, committed to transforming the lives of people with immune challenges, rare diseases and blood disorders, cancers, and neurological disorders. From R&D to sales, our talented teams work together, revolutionizing treatment, continually improving products, understanding unmet needs, and connecting communities. We chase the miracles of science every single day, pursuing progress to make a real impact on millions of patients around the world. The Market Access AI & Data Management Lead serves as the governance lead for US Market Access Analytics, owning the strategy and execution of how Market Access data assets are structured, governed, cataloged, and prepared for AI-driven consumption. This role ensures that Market Access and Pricing data, spanning contracting, government pricing, finance, demand, and claims, meets the highest standards of quality, discoverability, and AI-readiness. The Associate Director operates at the intersection of business and technology: defining how data should be understood and used by stakeholders across Pricing, Government Pricing, Finance, and Access Strategy, while coordinating with Digital, Data Engineering, and enterprise governance teams to ensure those standards are built and sustained. This role is central to Sanofi's ability to scale AI-powered analytics across US Market Access. Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and Specialty Care neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs. About Sanofi We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. Main responsibilities Serve as the Data Management Lead (DML) for the Market Access & Pricing domain serving as the governance lead for data asset development. This role is formally accountable for ensuring that all Market Access data assets (Source-Aligned, Process-Aligned, and Consumption-Aligned) meet enterprise AI-Ready Data standards, are registered in the data catalog, and have clearly defined business and technical metadata. Lead the AI-Ready Data progression for Market Access & Pricing data assets, driving the Medallion certification process across all domain data assets by coordinating business and digital roles (Business Data Stewards, Technical Data Stewards, Product Owners) and ensuring the data contract is met and meets stakeholder needs. Own the business metadata, semantic layer, and ontological definitions for Market Access data, working with stakeholders across Contracting, Government Pricing, Finance, Demand Forecasting, and Access Strategy to define how data should be described, labeled, and made queryable in business terms, so that non-technical users and AI systems can access and interpret it correctly. Coordinate the development of the semantic layer with Digital and Data Engineering teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications for metadata cataloguing, data lineage documentation, and validating that the resulting layer accurately reflects how the business understands and uses the data. Lead data governance for the Market Access & Pricing domain, establishing and maintaining data standards, definitions, ownership, and stewardship processes; ensuring data assets are properly classified, access-controlled through Role-Based Access Controls, and compliant with enterprise governance frameworks and audit requirements. Own data quality oversight for Market Access data assets, defining data quality rules and thresholds, monitoring data quality scores across assets, coordinating resolution of quality issues with upstream data owners and Digital teams, and ensuring that data quality meets the bar required for financial reporting, AI model inputs, and downstream analytics. This role should also monitor production workloads of data asset deliveries and be able to rectify issues in a timely manner according to established service level agreements, working with the appropriate parties or individually. Establish a playbook for audit readiness, ensuring data processes are observable and defensible, and that the team can respond confidently to internal or external audit inquiries about how data is sourced, processed, and used in financial and analytical outputs. Provide recommendations on tools and platforms that support data management, governance, metadata cataloging, and AI-readiness, assessing fit for Market Access use cases, coordinating pilots or proof-of-concept evaluations, and making recommendations to leadership on adoption, in partnership with Digital and enterprise data management teams. Partner with the Analytics Product Manager and Data Engineering team to ensure that data products published to the enterprise data mesh are built on well-governed, AI-ready foundations, and that downstream consumers can trust and use the data without requiring analyst intervention. Coordinate with Contracting, Government Pricing, Finance, and Access Strategy stakeholders to understand how they want to utilize Market Access data, capturing requirements for data access, reporting views, and analytical use cases, and translating those needs into data product and governance priorities. Stay current on emerging data management practices, AI-readiness frameworks, and enterprise data tooling, bringing external perspective and best practices into Sanofi's data management approach and identifying opportunities to accelerate the team's AI-readiness maturity. Ensure proper evaluation frameworks are in place to steer AI-systems to more accurate results.
