Principal Group Engineering Manager

Job description

Lead, coach, and grow engineering teams and senior technical leaders. Own engineering strategy, architecture, execution, and operational excellence across a major product area. Drive end-to-end systems ownership, moving beyond individual component boundaries. Raise the bar on reliability, security, quality, scalability, and engineering velocity. Build an AI-native engineering culture, using agentic engineering, evidence-based debugging, and automated validation to improve engineering outcomes. Partner across IC3, M365 Core, and dependent teams to drive technical alignment and deliver customer impact. Attract, develop, and retain exceptional engineering talent. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Significant experience building and operating large-scale cloud/distributed systems. Proven experience leading engineering teams and developing engineering leaders. Solid technical judgment across architecture, reliability, security, and service engineering. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-team engineering initiatives. Solid customer orientation, communication, and organizational leadership skills.
