Job description

Translate resource demand, workload growth, utilization patterns, and capacity constraints into actionable product investments, roadmaps, and engineering priorities. Apply AI agents, automation, telemetry analysis, benchmarking, and experimentation to detect inefficiencies, investigate root causes, identify bottlenecks, and validate optimization opportunities. Partner closely with engineering teams to understand workload behavior, system architecture, deployment constraints, and performance characteristics in order to drive practical efficiency improvements. Drive optimization initiatives across compute, storage, networking, data platforms, fleet management, workload placement, autoscaling, resource allocation, and service operations. Use telemetry, cost signals, operational data, and performance measurements to quantify opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and support investment decisions with data. Develop business cases that connect technical improvements to measurable outcomes, including capacity creation, utilization improvements, cost reduction, performance, reliability, and platform scalability. Define product requirements, success metrics, experiments, and validation plans for infrastructure efficiency investments and optimization efforts. Build scalable mechanisms including recommendation systems, scorecards, opportunity tracking, and self-service capabilities that help teams identify and act on efficiency opportunities. Coordinate execution across engineering, infrastructure, capacity planning, finance, and service teams to deliver measurable efficiency outcomes. Track and communicate progress against efficiency goals, ensuring opportunities move from discovery through implementation and impact validation. Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations, roadmaps, and decision material for engineering leaders and stakeholders. Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework). 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product). Experience driving products, platforms, or technical initiatives from problem definition through execution and measurable outcomes. Experience working with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, AI/ML platforms, large-scale online services, or related infrastructure technologies. Solid analytical skills with experience using telemetry, experimentation, operational data, or quantitative models to make product decisions. Demonstrated ability to partner with engineering teams and translate technical problems into clear product requirements and priorities. Experience with hyperscale cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, capacity management, workload orchestration, or resource optimization. Experience driving infrastructure efficiency, cost optimization, demand reduction, capacity creation, resource utilization, or performance-efficiency initiatives. Experience applying AI agents, automation, AIOps, machine learning, or AI-driven analysis to product or operational problems. Experience with workload placement, rightsizing, autoscaling, capacity planning, fleet management, or runtime optimization. Experience building data-driven platforms, recommendation systems, telemetry capabilities, optimization systems, or self-service tools. Experience developing business cases and evaluating tradeoffs across performance, user experience, cost, capacity, reliability, and engineering investment. Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across engineering and business organizations. Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and influence decisions. Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, learn quickly, and independently drive problems from discovery through measurable impact.
