The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in leading large-scale portfolio assessment and application disposition for enterprise data centre exit programmes spanning multiple countries and regulatory jurisdictions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure through discovery tooling and application owner interviews, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS — assigning R-strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Retire, Retain, Relocate) and designing wave plans that respect dependency groupings, capacity constraints, and regulatory frozen zones. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on migration best practices, risk mitigation, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end migration assessment process, ensuring adherence to AWS well-architected principles, optimizing wave sequencing, and managing risks throughout the programme lifecycle. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries. The position may require up to 50% travel to customer sites. - 10+ years of cloud architecture, solution implementation or consulting experience, with a focus on large-scale cloud migration and modernization programmes - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a related field - Experience leading the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical enterprise IT and migration programmes, including data centre exits, in a customer-facing role - Experience as the technical lead of large-scale migrations: defining the migration strategy and target architecture, choosing the right approach for each workload (re-host, re-platform, re-architect, etc.), and translating these technical choices into business outcomes for executive audiences - Experience using AI-powered and agentic migration and modernization tools (e.g., AWS Transform, ModelizeIT, Kiro or equivalent) to speed up discovery, assessment, code transformation and migration execution at scale - Hands-on experience with technology infrastructure: network, compute, storage and virtualization - Experience with wave planning, including dependency grouping, capacity balancing and multi-geography coordination under regulatory constraints - Experience leading large teams and matrix organizations, and driving alignment across business and technology stakeholders - Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methods - Fluent English - Work experience in financial services (banking, capital markets, payments, insurance or other segments), including regulated workloads and compliance and security standards - Deep knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC), including AWS migration services (e.g., AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), Database Migration Service (DMS), Migration Hub) - AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) - Experience with at least two of these migration domains: VMware, SAP, Windows/SQL Server, Database (e.g., Oracle licensing, EC2 vs. RDS, PostgreSQL), Mainframe - Experience with infrastructure as code, automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, PowerShell) - Experience with public, hybrid and multi-cloud platforms - Comfortable dealing with ambiguity in complex, multi-vendor environments with incomplete documentation and conflicting data sources, while prioritising needs and delivering measurable results - Spanish language skills (written and spoken) are highly valued Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
